A younger kid for West that might make an impact could be Forward Weber. Played 2nd line i believe last year and made an impact last year as either a freshman or sophomore.

Mayo 8 Mankato East 1. East looked pretty much the same from last year. Kept up with Mayo the first period even shot count at 13 a piece but the 2nd period Mayo blew up out shooting East 26-5 and scoring 4 goals. East needs to figure out how to play a whole game hard without giving up.

The 3 legit players on West would be the other Bruggeman forward, defenseman Nick Campbell, and forward Drew Weber. But those kids will realize it's hard to carry a team on their backs when they have limited talent along side them.

Lourdes was very talented last year, and with last year's loss in the section championship, I'm sure they'll be prepared to win it this year. Albert Lea can never be counted out no matter who they lose from graduation. They have a stellar program down there and they always seem to plug in new player...

I seem to recall in 2005-2006 when west was in the cellar of the big 9 conference. what makes you think it won't happen again?

yea west isn't gonna be terrible. but we're talking about who's going to win the big 9. bruggeman, campbell and webber aren't going to carry the team to a big 9 championship i'm sorry to burst your bubble. you need to have a balanced team to win a conference championship and i don't think west has t...

true that. whoever started this chat is probably an east goalie who's scared of losing his spot to this wilmar goalie who's supposedly coming to town.

it really doesn't matter who will start as the east goalie if the coach doesn't teach the team how to play defense. the goalie last year got 50+ shots a game last year, which is why they lost so bad last year.

Rochester Mayo will be very tough considering they were contending with a varsity roster full of juniors. West lost their whole team except the forward Bruggeman. Century contends for the big 9 title annually. My prediction is Mayo.
