Mouthguards

I get the whole mouthguard debate and am sure that they help in the concussion department. They should be enforced by ref's but if they are not the coaches should also be enforcing it. There is a bigger issue at play here. How many kids do you see wearing a helmet 'highschool' style. Bottom of cage ...

I will not list a kid's name on this board, just tell you he also has USHL experience and was told that Albert Lea did not need any forwards. Instead they want to develop the ones they have. Maybe someone should tell them this is the NAHL, the ability to develop should be evident by now.

I agree that they are not interested in picking up new better players. New release from one of the top teams in NAHL called both coach and GM just last week, both told him that they do not need any new players. When you are getting your arse kicked on a regular basis I would think that anything new ...

NO objection at all with my man returning to Bantams. i much prefer that schedule and the rink is closer to home. I just didn't really understand the logic for cutting him from V, but not giving him a shot at JV. I have a much better understanding of it now, thanks to all the responses. Which is why...

What is the theory on kids going to HS versus staying with their bantam team? My 10th grader got cut and will return to his Bantam A team. All is good, but the more I think about it, 24 games at JV versus 40+ at Bantam, it is kind of a draw. Or is it............

HS Tryout Question

Just wondering, but do all High School hockey coaches split kids into a 'varsity' group and 'junior varsity' group. Then proceed to cut kids from each group, but not move kids down from varsity group to junior varsity. My son is a 10th grader and was put into the varsity group, then cut from the var...
