hard to believe anyone would have the stupidity to do this. on every team there are people who do not like the coaches - is this how it should all be handled now? people talk & people don't keep secrets well especially something like this. No way the police wont eventually catch them. Leaving ol...

appreciate the opinions. Parents generally know their sons and daughters and if its a good time for them to enjoy some spirits with the family. MSHL cannot (i dont think) police households.

MSHL Rule for 18 year olds

If an 18 year old goes on Spring Break and parties it up - where it is legal to do so, are they breaking MSHL rules? Could baseball then be in jeopardy? What if they also have parents permission and supervision - and again, they are in a country where their age makes it legal.?

Tartan has a good team this year... but I agree with the above that they left their class at home and played with spite - and they didn't need to. they won by two - one being an empty net - the kid who celebrated that is retarded. How hard is it to do that? He must not score often enough. don't get ...

[quote="hockey247"]All you need to do is ask around about the coaching at NSP and you will find the answer to why the kids are quiting. All the goalies they have are the same talent wise and the coach has played Toy all year. There has been no competion for the job and it is showing in Toy...

Let's all be honest - all of those w/ kids in public schools. There are kids who go to other schools for hockey and other sports because they can. Seriously - if they are recruited - good for them. For me - my kid isn't talented enough to be recruited and we don't have the funds to send him. HOWEVER...

It wasn't like they got caught making a bad decision at a party.... it wasn't drinking and the coach gave the boys the choice.

for the record.. they werent taken off the team - they quit. their choice - not the coaches. they either had to submit to a drug test and pass - or quit.

Polars have a good team this year and they have a lot of new players - but they are not where the points are. The junior class is great and that's where everyone has seen the talent this year so far with Rubbelke, Chzech are the strongest and others follow close behind.

Boyd was a phenom... can't recall who all got the other Royals goals or who got what for NSP.

Polars looked surprisingly good!

but one question remains.... how fair do you think it is that the athlete that gets caught gets his same spot back? The kid who fills in because he or she was an idiot gets dumped. I do believe in 2nd chances - and kids will make mistakes... but part of that I think should be the bump down to JV, lo...

I guess I have several reasons for having such a strong opinion on it. Having been a kid in HS who's parents wanted to be "cool" and let me run my life however I wanted, I learned the hardway how it can damage more than just a HS sports opportunity. The law is the law and no, I'm not a cop...

i personaly have mixed views on this one. as far as tobacco goes i think if you get caught chewing/smoking by a coach or administrator you deserve the suspension, however i can tell you from experience that coaches wont go out of their way to catch people who chew, if they all did about 70% of the ...

I think it's like 4 games for the first time, 6 for the second? Not sure - all I know is that in baseball for example, they sit quiet on the bench and then go out and play like nothing happpened and the kids that "filled in" get the shaft... again.

I agree completely, it's not about the kids as much as it is the coaches and the MSHL... especially when it pushes kids down to JV to make room for a troublemaker. u started good than you posted this...there should always be punishment but if the kid wants to redeem himself and again is a GOOD play...

Is it about win at all costs, what are the kids being taught? i dont think it should matter the skill if you break the conduct rule maybe if its more strict kids will give a crap.
