It looks to me like this 1. Tartan 2. Hill-Murray 3. Roseville 4. White Bear 5. Stillwater 6. Mounds View 7. North St Paul 8. Johnson 9. Saints 10. Como Park I agree but I think WBL #3 and Rose. #4 Rose has a loss to MV, Tie to Hast, OT win against Park and lost to Cent. which WBL beat. The only bi...

If the long shifts were working for the benefit of the team, this discussion would not be taking place. Do you really believe that the quality of scoring chances are what this game is all about? Is someone keeping track of these? While winning is not the only thing that matters, I think most of the...

Hey everyone, the sad thing about this subject is that some justify playing long shifts. If a player is able to play a 2 minute shift he is not hustling a great deal. If a player extends theirself for over 45 seconds they NEVER recover completely the rest of the game. This has been a fact since hoc...

Why do parents in our area always blame the coach? Always easier to point the finger to someone else. This will possibly be the second coach in a row that the parents not the players run out. If the players don't like the guy its as easy as going to the AD. Let the players decide You ask me what pl...

I am not going to detail why a player makes it from year to year. I heard that this year they cut a player vellala who was one of the top line players. As far as taking juniors over Seniors you are wrong. You always go with a senior if they are capable of making the team. The concept of bringing you...

That's another problem. Why does the MV coach cut top players every year. Last season, I was told that they had a 18 player turn over from the prvious year with Senior graduation 5 and 13 seniors who were cut or quit during the season and one kicked off. Top players being cut? Who are some top play...

Lets be clear. Yes MV has lost a lot of players over the years. The issue is not about players leaving that leads to the unhappiness that exist at MV. I know a lot of these parents and players. Win loss is not the issue. They just want more for their kids. They want more leadership and accountabilt...

Juniors vs Seniors
How does your program look at the Juniors and Seniors during tryouts?
Say you have a junior and senior D that give you just about the same and neither one played varsity the year before. Do you go with the senior on varsity or cut him and go with the junior? Say the same for goalies and forwards

Guitar, You are very correct in observing the lack of enjoyment for playing for Sager and his band of misfit coaches. Ask any former player of his and they all react the same. He and his staff do absolutely nothing to get any of their players ready for the next level. Not all of these kids have the...

Not sure they will fold but it certainly is going to change the dynamic particularly in the private schools. Money, $8M in this case, will talk...
