what are the "facts" then? bitter hardly, I"m a wayzata guy anders has been a great player for edina, my opinion is that he is not physical enough for his size in either sport and the fallacies about the recruiting in football have been interesting to say the least. You bring up his ...

don't know where your getting your gopher info but is ABSOLUTELY incorrect, there was never a offer given, this comes DIRECTLY from a coach. If they didn't offer mike rallis as a db/ lbr they sure as hell wouldn't offer a kid who never played linebacker. Let the hype die. Wow, do I DETECT a little ...

Interesting that both Lee and Everson saw their Central Scouting rankings fall despite their size, team's strength of schedule and massive point productions. Lee's rankings went from 74 (midterm) to 118 (final) and Everson's rankings went from 123 (midterm) to 181 (final). I believe if you review t...

dangles, nobody questioned lee about his football abilities. Trust me, just because you are a great high school football player doesn't translate to college, lee had 1 scholarship football offers, maybe coaches saw something in his film. For as big as he is he DOESN'T play to his size in either spo...

no, both are too soft for their size. Exactly! Until these guys hit the weight room and put on some actual muscle, they will continue to get pushed around like they did all year. Don't bother to remind me they had 166pts between them, because the truth is they played a pretty soft schedule. I can't...

If we're just talking about the Draft Scouting Combine, these are the Minnesota players... Birkholz Budish Hanowski Helgeson Leddy Mike Lee Mattson Schroeder Mike Lee and Zach Budish are doing blogs during the combine. I am not seeing what you are seeing; he is a nice player, but the "most gifted" 93 in Minnesota; hardly. I can name ten 93s that are as, if not more, gifted. Skill wise, Reilly is the best! If you had a skills competion with all the 93's in MN, Reilly would win. Now throw in the 92's and ...

All of the games we shot at the 2009 Tourney are finally posted...Still though only about 3/4 of the images we took are shown with more to be added soon. If anyone wants a high resolution photo of any of the images shown for yourself (i.e. one of the images shown is your son, grandson, etc. in the ...

Congratulations to Max Tardy.
Perfect example of a player who has tons of upside potential. Should be a great player in the future for the Bulldogs. Congrats to Max!

Time to do this one last time. I had no idea this would develop into a weekly thing when I started it, but I'm glad I've seen it through, and I hope you've enjoyed them too. 1. EDEN PRAIRIE -Congrats to the state champs. They were probably the most consistent team in the state from start to finish ...

All really great comments and observations. Combine them all together and I think you have the answer. My hats off to the seniors and the players on Edina. That is one reason the All-Tournament Teams weren't selected for a period of time starting in the late '60's or early '70's. There were too many disagreements over who should have made the team and who shouldn't have. I do wonder how the AA Tournaments top scorer was left off, Anders Lee with 9pts,...

Re: Edina

People seem to have forgotten that a few years ago Edina hockey looked like a thing of the past. They had been passed by their neighbors Minnetonka, Wayzata & Eden Prairie. No state appearances for 6 years. Now they have been in it 3 straight. Their JV team is very good. Giles is a very good co...

They traditional do not put players from the consolation bracket on the All-Tournament team. Lee has 9 pts, Everson 7, Baker and Gaarder 5 or 6 I believe.

But by my count those seniors went 81-11-1 in their careers, went 3-0 in section section title games, all against top 6 or better rated teams, and brought home hardware in 3 straight tourneys. Does the 81 wins total count the time Anders Lee decided he'd rather be a Cadet than a Hornet? See what ha...

Not to resurrect a dead topic, but I still don't think this Edina team had dominating talent once they lost Budish. I think last year's team, with Budish and Joe Gleason, both high level D-1 talents, was better equipped to win it all. This year's team won alot of respect from me for putting togethe...

O-townClown
Obviously? Everson had a hat trick today and Baker had two goals yesterday. If they produce in the Hill-Murray game either could make it.

I just don't see a way the Spuds can win this game. The Spuds only managed 17 shots against the Rams in the Region final and the Rams are definately not Edina this year. The Spuds scored three of their championship goals on the power play against a Roseau box that did not pressure or move, allowing...
