Smart move. The facilities, coaches and trainers at Velocity are very good. The off ice training is just as impressive (and important) as the on ice.

This format is not uncommon and been in place for quite a while. I believe D6 has now added a shootout after 2 OT's to determine the winner.

PWA Does anyone know if Waconia won there last district game vs Kennedy? If they won and received 3 pts tonka will need to beat PL tonight and get their fair play point to get the 4th seed. And that's the problem with the system D6 came up with. Tonka is much better than Waconia and yet they are ba...

There is no valid reason for not having 2 referees. Consistency with one ref is just an excuse and not a reason. USA Hockey needs to recognize the 2/1 (how hard is that?)

I don't know this but wondering if a 1 ref 2 lines system in place in some areas or districts due to the lack of good experienced officials. This allows the one seasoned ref to call the game while the linesmen can simply call the lines. It also allows younger linesmen to see how a more experienced o...

Kids that move better horizontally seem to make better centers. I wouldnt put a north/south guy at center, they usually make better wings.

Changing to 130 for a game that is 1 hour is a no brainer and long over due. The offender stills gets a penalty and hopefully learns. To have a kid sitting the same amount of time as a player playing 20 minute periods in the NHL or college doesnt make any sense to me.

Maybe this is a really stupid question?? So if this is for 9th and 10th graders and little Tommy enrolls in this program then goes back to his HS after a year with Skinner and SLP HS, would he have to sit out a year before playing on his High School team? Or is the assumption they would play USHL/NA...

Someones kid must have got cut from the team. Too bad, there are no gaurentees in AAA. Icemen have a tremendous 98 team and the 2000 squad will be very good. 99 is very slim

Congrats to EP!! Great job and they deserve it. They did have an easy bracket but then they had to beat LS and STMA and they more than made up for an easy bracket by beating those two teams.
D6 was well represented. The depth in D6 is unmatched.

In my opinion Lakeville South takes title. Speed always has and always will kill. They have more team skill than anyone i've seen this year and they are well coached. STMA is good and they have great goaltending but LS is better and would win 4 out of 5 from STMA. Wayzata is good too and will be in ...

The Flyers didnt do themselves any favors. Several brackers of 4 have 2 good teams in it. A Minnesota team will win it. I always like STMA but Lakeville South has to be the favorite. With that said, I think there are 10-12 teams that could win. I don't think Edina has the horses to win 3 in a row bu...

Stillwater not in either becuase of District Tourn.
Lakeville South and STMA are my favorites and Wayzata certainly has a chance. I wouldn't count EP out yet. Really look forward to seeing the brackets. As always, the winner will have one heck of a run.
