You just don't get it--Seniors are screwed
"Oh, you're missing your HS season because you can't play by the rules and have gotten game misconducts multiple times, sure come play for me." If that's really how it works, I will stand corrected, but I'm guessing they want the talented players who aren't concerned with this change beca...

After seeing 2 games with the rule changes I think the MSHSL really messed this one up. I get the whole thing why they did what the did and i think what happened to the Benilede kid was really sad but i feel they really made things worse. In the first game I saw the refs had a agenda to make a state...

Re: Mahtomedi's best team since marshall?
Mahtomedi's best team since marshall? If so, not saying much since they got beat convincingly by one of the least talented Pioneer teams in years. I honestly agree with this! "Convincingly" is a stretch, the Mahtomedi goalie made some good saves, but all 3 of Hill's goals were real...

Another example: Eddie Wittchow is good enough to be scouted by colleges and DRAFTED BY THE NHL, but he's not good enough to play in the 'Elite' fall hockey league? The Burnsville defenseman was picked in the sixth round (154th selection overall) by the Florida Panthers June 25 at the Xcel Energy Ce...

It was clear to anyone that was able to attend the 'try-outs' that they were merely a show and a way to generate revenue for the league. #1: No coaches on the bench. #2: No referee's on the ice. #3: No whistles for pucks off the net. #4: A one day pond hockey scrimmage The league can claim that thei...

It's laughable to defend a 17-0 score. And again, I don't fault the players whatsoever, they are kids and do what they are told. BELIEVE ME, I'm no St. Thomas fan, but in their game vs. Simley their first line didn't even come out of the locker room after the first period; maybe just a symbolic gest...

HM has no class
I don't care how good HM is OR how bad Como is, there is just no denying that it is poor sportsmanship to run the score up to 17-0! The kids know this, the parents know this, I just don't know why the HM coaches don't know this. Of course HM isn't getting anything out of playing a team like Como, so...

You are correct that SSP beat Mahtomedi in their first game 5-1, however an important thing to note is that Mahtomedi outshot them 38-14. Mahtomedi's starting goalie was out with an injury so they played a JV goalie--the kid had a tough night letting in 5 goals on 14 shots. So no way should SSP be s...

Re: hit on becker...
[quote="deliveryguy"][quote="wingman"]Was it a clean hit -No it occured well after the puck was no where around-hence no call from the referres because it happened behind the play. Apparently Hill-Murray fans (stpaul & wingman) are unable to be objective when commenting on th...
