Wow. This isn't complicated at all. The perspectives really fall into two camps. 1) STA, and other metro private schools, have significant inherent advantages that allow them to be more successful at hockey. These advantages are not available to smaller public schools. STA, or any other school that ...

HS Hockeywatcher, Fair enough. My comments were directed at STA because that has been the topic of the thread. I think Breck should move up as well. Totino too. Probably Blake as well. I don't think any of these schools should be forced to go, but they should do it to respect the purpose of the two ...

Mr. Bo, You are right on. But I think some of the posters are missing the point of many here... I'm not anti-STA, nor are many of the people here. Nor do I support the idea of the MSHSL 'forcing' them to play at the AA level. The contention by many, myslef included, is that STA should know that it's...

I love that argument... If you are critical of something, you are labeled as "jealous." Not much to be jealous of. Of my three boys, I think one (maybe two) would have the ability to play at STA. Honestly not sure. I live not too far away, so there really wouldn't be an issue with enrollin...

YES, STA should move up! And so should Breck, Blake, etc. Kudos to Holy Family for having the fortitude to do it. STA's championship means NOTHING. The coach was quoted in the St. Paul paper this week saying something to the effect of "we win because we teach the kids it's okay to excel. Their ...

Some updates from D6...

Chaska beat Kennedy last night. Unsure of score.
Also last night, Jefferson beat Waconia 6-5. Really good game.

Jefferson over Chaska today in OT. 4-3. Another great game! Obviously could have gone either way...

Jaguars move on. Other teams are done for season.

Gonna be up in Coleraine for several days later this month. I've never been to a game in the "snakepit." Is is worth the time to go check out a high school or youth game while I'm there? I know Greenway is down a bit, but I've heard a lot about that rink.

Best Behaved Fans

Any thoughts on the following? We often hear about what associations have the most obnoxious fans. What about the best, most sportsmanlike fans? Which associations can you point to? Or is it impossible to make a judgment on an entire group? One rule - you can't name your home association! My pick wo...

HD 41, That is probably the single most accurate, articulate post I have ever read on this board. Well said. It seems to me that we build these events up way too big for the kids at this age. Don't get me wrong, the Brick sounds like fun, and I understand why people want to go. But there is a danger...

How have they faired against teams like Edina, Eden Prairie, Elk River, Stillwater, Bloomington?? Yes, Waconia has had a nice yea...
