Orono Vs Wayzata
MNLIGHT you sure didn't give Wayzata much credit. After battling back from 3-0 against your tough team who plays 10 kids or so, you think they deserve some props. Then to imply the refs made the difference is the voice of a true sportsman. Blame it on the refs, I failed tos ee one ref score a goal o...

I've seen Strade play many, many times. He's far from an elite player. He's above average that that's about it.

Wayzata Bantam A
It seems Wayzata is playing well at the right time of the year. Several close games with top teams, Orono, Hopkins and Maple Grove all one goal losses. Tie one and lose one (1-0) against Osseo. They tie Moorhead, beat Brooklyn Park and most recently beat Mankato 4-3. Earlier games against Hopkins an...

If Blaines the early favorite, they have already been beaten by Wayzata.

Just a Rumor
Tony was a good bantam player but was still a bit small and had trouble with the bigger players. When he hit 10th grade he had a big growth spurt, along with that came a significant improvement in his game. Joey is a very good player offensively, Tony is a very good player in all zones.

It will not happen. Joey is happy at Wayzata and will play there this fall. If anything changes it will be him leaving in the spring to play in the USHL. Lucias decision has no impact on Miller.

Sneep is a nice kid but he should stay where he is, a move to any higher level school would put him on the bench. No hands and bad feet.

Re; Blake Wheeler
Blake is a natural goal scorer and has been successful at every level he's played. I watched him during the World Junior try-outs, he fit in there despite being the second youngest player trying out. Look for big things from him, if given enough ice time.

Wayzata is losing 4 good players off their Bantam A team that attend school at Benilde. There's been speculation about Wehrs and Lucia coming back next season, that has yet to be determined.

up and coming goalies
Freng is definately solid. The only knock I've heard is if he's tough enough to play through the pain during crunch time. I guess time will tell, Howe will give both seniors a good run.
