Hill-Murray has quite a bit, although the program website does not say who was before and who was after 1990. After the link "Olympians, pro, & college alumni," the very next link, "All-time roster," gives the varsity years at Hill-Murray for every former Pioneer hockey play...

Youngblood may be a hater with the name-calling, but he knows what he is talking about when he concedes the state championship to Hill, knowing the Pioneers' hockey program is proven superior to the Ponies' in every sectional playoff ... "religiously." Plus, we both like "'08"!

South St. Paul went to State nearly every year in the Fifties and Sixties. With no championships and only a couple of final appearances, the Packers were firmly established as also-rans by the mid-Seventies. I think South St. Paul and Hill were the only small schools to move up to class AA initially...

The Ponies must be pretty weak if last year's JV guys are assuming they will make the varsity. Evenly matched doesn't mean your conference is strong. I imagine the Little Sisters of the Poor think their conference is tough, too. In contrast, I've never seen as much talent trying out for so few spots...

Good solid Dmen who protect their own end but hesitate to step up are always overshadowed by these kids who constantly rush the net, even if they leave their goalie hanging in the wind. I have seen it over and over throughout the years. Give Housley a break already! Agreed, HF, in that forwards who...

Kids naturally will gravitate toward the glamor and fun of scoring;

it's the same when they grow up and become coaches.

That's why you see so many of the most successful coaches were goalies and defensemen,

coaches who get offense-minded kids to focus on team defense.

Bantam success has been discredited in most years for predicting the State Champions. OTClown's criteria might seem to be the most reliable at first glance. Having made it to State the previous year would seem important, too, though almost half the State Champions did not (recent decades). Coming fr...

The Hudson team which defeated Minnetonka was U16 ...

all cut from High School and/or Junior Gold ...

the team you claim to have beat does not exist ...

none of the Hudson U16 have played for any high school JV program ...

the so-called State of Hockey needs to check its facts again.

Are drinks on WBMD tonight?

WBL should hire one of the guys who called for Sager's head

(look up the French Revolution).

However, the smart White Bear folks will not be involved in the decision making ...

since their kids all will be playing for Lechner.

I am all for bashing Sager, but pick truthful criteria ... like the way he dresses or styles his hair ... cherry picking stats over arbitrary and unequal time periods does not cut it. Take for instance the easiest stats to find: WBL record versus Hill. You will be hard pressed to blame Sager ... Fro...

You do not need truth on your side to start an investigation. In fact, just starting a rumor about a possible investigation can be enough to ruin a reputation and career. Both of these tactics are time honored in Washington, D. C., but have no place in the State of Hockey (of course, I'm talking abo...

I can guarantee you, that if Sager gets fired, it won't be because of his coaching win/loss record. Now there's a guarantee! Are you a politician? WBL anger has EVERYTHING to do with its record versus one team. Sager gets the blame for getting past Hill only a couple times in a decade and never win...

The thread title reads:

You just have to be standing on my side of the St. Croix River to decipher its meaning correctly.

The former "State of Hockey" must be "runnin out of comebacks!"
