I heard that the Blades invited several machine players to join the Brick team this year. All were forbidden to play. Here are two examples, according to the rumor mill: Can anyone weigh in on the truth of these rumors: In one case, BM himself took the 10-year old into his office alone, without his ...

South St. Paul - Next year
is anyone thinking about South St. Paul for next year? They had a .500 season this year, but they lose only three seniors and none of their top four scorers.
I think these guys might make some noise.

Yes he played in our conference [sec] so I had a chance to watch him. He is a very good football player. I only watched him play hockey once last year and he hit like a truck. The Gophers current D-corps needs a guy like Alt way more than they need another Aaron Ness-type. Both of these guys are bi...

OT-you are dead right. This past year, the best first-year bantam (age wise) was Hudson Fasching. But watch out for a Park Storm kid named Keegan Iverson. Both of these guys are already over 6-feet tall, so size will not be an issue. Others will probably catch up to these two, but not very many othe...

If you want to go by grades, then use grade cut offs instead of a date cut off. Of course that would be silly, because parents would hold their kids back to gain an advantage. This is what they do in high school. More maturity in school means more maturity in hockey. One strong high school freshman ...

I like the idea of two Saturday games and one on Sunday. This will really make it seem like a tournament. A couple few years ago my kid played at State. We left home Thursday morning for the banquet and returned late Sunday. In the 80 hours we were gone, my kid played three hours of hockey. fun, but...

Minnesota high school hockey does not prepare players to compete immediately in the WCHA. With a few exceptions, players need to spend time after high school playing more intense hockey. Why is this true? Our high school season is 17 weeks long, if your team goes all the way to State). A Tier 1 U18 ...

You will overcome politics when your kid works harder and becomes a better player. On most A teams in big associations, there are 8-10 kids who are locks and then maybe 12 kids fighting for the last five spots. If your kid is in the top group, he will make the team (unless he has a big attitude prob...
