6-2 final over shakopee. Shots were 71-12. Not a typo. Shots were 63-12 on the scoreboard.......still a heck of a lot of shots and the Shakopee goalie played well into the 3rd period but someone padded them by 8. They were actually 67-12 on the scoreboard, but all game films are reviewed and SOG, +...

CO Thunderbirds representing well, 10 out of 40 is very impressive. It's not. Several reasons why not. Shows scouting isn't even close as there is no way those 10 players are that much better than any other wonderful 10. Why the CO Thunderbirds? Because of the coach? That's wrong for so many reason...

Re: Updated list
The posting above is 3 weeks old. This is the latest ranking from Western Elite Hockey Prospects that came out on March 7th, 2013 - These rankings come out every 2 weeks and will change slightly each time. The WHL (US) Prospects camp is in Anaheim CA April 12-14th and this list will likely have a f...

Frankly, I am not a fan of Tier 1 hockey. I think Minnesota has it right with the model they currently use. The reason other areas of the country need Tier 1 AAA hockey is because they don't have the amount and quality of local competition. They are forced to form these Tier 1 teams and travel all ...

It is un-American that Mn is not allowed to have a Tier 1 team. It is incredibly myopic and selfish not to allow kids that want the opportunity to play Tier 1 and test themselves against the best around North America. Does Mn produce some elite hockey players, D1, HS superstars and some guys that g...

Ranting like a lunatic won't get you very far when the foundation of your argument is tenuous. Where will these progressive teams play, at the municipal rinks? There is a huge barrier that you haven't addressed. I can just see the City Council meetings now. The Youth Hockey Association will go and ...

Being from Chicago now living in MN, I can say from direct knowledge that what BHF has failed to mention is that Tier I elite hockey there is only for those wishing to spend upwards of $10k per annum to play. The Tier II clubs available at costs comparable (on the high end) to what we pay here, lac...

I like the idea of a AAA winter league. I feel we should be free to play wherever we want and find the best hockey that is appropriate for our child's interest and skill level. It really sucks to be in an association that sucks and has no real desire to not suck. I shouldn't need to sell my house a...

Most Minnesota hockey players and families haven’t got a clue that the quality of hockey played in Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis, Boston, New York, and many other cities is far superior to the level of play in Minnesota. As Minnesota arrogantly sits back and ponders whether it should secede from USA ...

Blackhawk, not sure what you're saying. Is it that private training is the key to getting better in MN? Work done outside association games and practices? I think the same principle applies elsewhere. I'm sure elite players from the other 49 states all do training outside their official team events...
