I think the better question is how does a .500 team stay ranked in the top 5 in the state in some of the polls? THIS! Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the EHS girls take 2nd, 3rd, 2nd and 3rd in the last four State Tournaments. Hard to be a Hornet...I think their youth program and HS program are ...

I don't think BeenAround has been around Edina. If you want to give credit for Edinas success, he's not the one.

Well put Phish and great points. It's not an easy topic nor "one size fits all". I have been involved with girls hockey for many years and respect the decisions parents make one way or the other. Some make sense and some don't but again "to each their own".

Hats off to the Edina Coach who always seems to get his teams peaking at the right time. He's well respected and does a nice job with the kids!! Congrats Edina!!

Everyone takes the rankings and polls way too seriously. Like everyone, I enjoy looking through the rankings and in my opinion they are a fairly good barometer of the best teams at that at point. Hats off to NWC and they earned the right to be Number 1 now. It was a great tourney with 8 great teams....

It was a pretty good game Sinbin but Wayzata played better and deserved the win. You were right about the pools. I caught a glimpse of the other bracket and there was some great pool games. Thanks, RRat, I was just trying to steer the conversation away from makeup and hair, items of which I (a) know...

I agree Sinbin and you have some valid points. Thanks for the good banter back and forth!! Thank for the props, Rinkrat. Maybe it is indeed the confidence thing, start slow, peak at season's end. That's the way I'd want to do it, peak at the right time, not too early. Maybe it's the fact that Thunde...

Last time i checked Sinbin, Edina has won quite a few State Championships on the girls side and NO Cake Eater Titles...I think their schedulers know what they are doing. I think the Edina schedulers did a disservice to their 14A's and to hockey fans in general. #1 Edina in one pool and #2, #3, #4, #...

Yes Sinbin, same coincidene that the Edina U12's ended up with Wayzata #1 and OMG #4 in their bracket. Funny how some people seem to always complain no matter what. Oh well!!! Edina appears to have played the lesser of the two TB teams and beat them 4-2 earlier today. The TB AA team won the AAG Amer...

My fault Epic and I didn't realize LPH rankings were the gospel. I assume you have watched everyone of these teams play and know for a fact all the team on the one side of the bracket are aweful.
