What a great event last night, perfect way for the seniors to go out. They all shined last night, the Gold shined a little better with a 6-2 win. The MHL should be proud of the talent that is in this league, there were some outstanding plays last night. With the exception of some of the elite teams,...

I think it is good there are HEP points but i think they should change the amount of time they give for a checking from behind because once you get one of those you are very close to the limit. Checking from behind should obviously have a bigger penalty but i think that 10 min plus a 2 min minor is...

Re: SLP vs Lakeville

Just wanted to comment on Lakevilles team.... anyone who thinks they have any shot beating us or going to state is crazy, they are an awful team in almost every aspect of the game. Lakeville ranks tied for 10th in goals scored. Lakeville ranks 11th in goals against. They have virtually no chance ag...

Sorry for the compliment, they do have good D. And almost true on getting it out of our zone - it only took half the game to figure that out...ouch

I assumed jvail was from EP. Because 24 did play against EP and we were out shot 34 - 12.

we didnt play the good goalie against stillwater but thats the only way i see them winning with him in net. we played jefferson twice and i see it being a good game but last time their goalie didnt do to good. same with blaine. but thats why we play. should be a fun weekend. Thanks for the responses so far. A few opinions of my own to add…..and yes, they are simply my personal opinions. I think the HEP rules are good, and though I only have two years of Jr. Gold experience (well, my son has 2 years experience, I have only coached/watched), it seems clear they have had ...

I would say any of the teams at .500 (Centennial, Stillwater, Lakeville, SLP) could be considered an upset. All of them have played tough or beaten the top teams. That is the joy of playing the game - cuz all this guessing is just guessing, fun, but still just guessing. Gives us all something to do ...

EP actually had a empty netter against Stillwater to make it 2-0- it was a great game. What about Jefferson - their goalie has the potential to be a door closer.

If you had to bet on one dark horse to pull an upset who would you put your money on? Why? SLP for sure. Beat EP, Beat Edina, crushed lakeville twice. 97 goals on the season. If their goalie can get hot and/or they can tighten things up in the D zone, they have the fire power to pull off some upset...

Coaches submit three nominatinos (they rank them 1-3). Based on record team gets 1-3 players selected to the team. I believe the board does the final selection (not sure of criteria) - not sure if the list goes back to the coaches to vote for. Not sure on coach selection - probably based on record
