I just read an article in todays Star and Trib about John Maddens son who plays for the 41-0 Edina Squirt A team. Is the 35 game rule out now? Because they are so good we will allow them 6 extra games? Is this a Minnesota Hockey rule or District 6? Do clubs just police themselves with this rule? If...

If i understand you correctly, yes, the present Edina Squirt A team will win by a large amount no matter what they do this year, though there is always the chance of an upset. that is the scariest rink that I have been in - the smell , the boards, the rafters, the massive crowd, the score, I'm glad I did not check out the biff

I don't think any parent or coach should be proud or interested in playing a team that they can beat by 5 goals or more on a regular basis. I don't blame the coach of an A team for getting his kids to play to the best of their ability, but any coach or parent who gets joy out of beating someone 8-0...
