I am a believer in the Tbreds program because I saw how they developed players. Maybe both the tbreds and more players could benefit if it was done outside the high school season. I know they would have to ditch the JWHL, but they could enter open Tourneys. Marci is still a top notch coach. Just a t...

I don't have an interest in bringing your program down. Comparing your program's talent level to an average high school team was pretty fair, maybe generous. Take a look at the hockey hub and how your players did the year before they joined your program. If you think you could have competed with th...

This just goes to show you that High School Girls Hockey is the real deal and the top players want to stay and play. The Thoroughbreds Hockey association use to be a place where top talent could go play top talnet. It is now more of a league where kids go who think they should be higher in the peck...

I can only say my daughters experience with the tbreds prepared her for d1 hockey. The competition was super. She currently plays with and against many former jwhl players. I am hoping that the club will rebound. I agree that expense plays a large role in players ability to make a commitment. The tr...

Thoroughbred hockey is a good option for some girls

I posted the tryout thread to notify players who may be looking for a better situation than they may be in. Not all players can find what they need in their current program. I can only speak from experience, my daughter had an awesome experience with the team and the competition they played. The coa...

My daughter played on the team last year. I can only guess why they do not scrimmage many teams. They have a schedule of 70 plus games. Practice time is very important in preparation for league and tournament games. Scrimmages do not allow for as many skill and conditioning reps or situational pract...

Yes they are looking to find some net keepers. Both of last years goalies have graduated. One is playing for Hamline and one is playing for Gustavus next year.

Thoroughbred spring league

If any players are looking for a good spring league. The Minnesota Thoroughbreds are having one which starts on May 6th. My daughter has played in it for the past three years. The coaches are very engaged and helpful to the players on the bench. The pace of play is outstanding and they keep the benc...

Close the gap?? Looks like the are having a tough season. 7 wins vs 29 loses, out scored 57 -158. I see they took the overall record off the team game summary web site, looks like they do not want anyone to see this, at first glance anyway. It is what it is. I am sure they will be able to attract g...

Hux you were correct about players choosing the TBREDS as an option to develop as players and reach their goals of college hockey. The coaching, practices, and competition are at a very high level. This years team started with only three returning players and had a slow start, but have managed to cl...

Re: Juniorfest 2011

After all....it is a showcase for players who stayed with their high school teams and played for Minnesota Girls High School Hockey teams, not for people who made a decision that Minnesota High School hockey wasn't good enough for them until they want the perks of what this association promotes. So...

Re: Juniorfest 2011

Committed players should participate for sure!!!! The Directors should also allow Thoroughbred and NAHA players who are juniors in Minnesota to skate. Invite and encourage every quality junior to compete. After all it is a showcase. After all....it is a showcase for players who stayed with their hi...
