Re: Lets Play Hockey - Ms. Hockey + Senior Goalie of the Year. Discuss.

WBL is sitting at home with a lot of other teams without the goaltender. I think that debate should be over! BUT, does FROSTY decide? We will soon find out....

Re: Lets Play Hockey - Ms. Hockey + Senior Goalie of the Year. Discuss.

Is there any weight given to how one's team does? How many of the candidates have helped lead their team to the STATE tourney? It is a team game and there is A LOT to be said about a player that makes their team better in addition to making their teammates better.

Re: Lets Play Hockey - Ms. Hockey + Senior Goalie of the Year. Discuss.

I think the Ms Hockey winner has already been determined...Frosty could probably let the cat out of the bag! On the other hand, the Ms Goalie winner is definitely up for grabs! Bville goalie plays for the team with lowest GA in MSHSL. Definitely should of been considered...my vote would be for the W...

it's nice to see some things never change with zamboni hating on Edina...you forgot about the Edina vs. Cretin game? Come on...anyway, keep picking Edina to lose and your record for the year is going to suffer! [-X

Blake

2 players from Edina on Blake Varsity would be on the Edina team if they had stayed in public school. Nobody currently at Benilde from Edina would be on Edina team and 1 player from Breck would be on the Edina team. Yes, these players would make Edina even better, but Edina is still a very deep prog...

You must have saw them before all their kids got into town. When they played us they were really good hustled all over the rink very physical. You could tell that the OS teams were coming off a long break. First two games my daughter a 51 shots 47 saves. Second game 44 shots 43 saves then averaged ...

It sounds like 1F and 1D from Minnesota to be invited to Maine...possibly another one as well. Not confirmed, but should happen. Well deserved if USA Hockey does in fact invite the players. Congrats to all the girls and good luck at National Camp!

A Few Takeaways from the Meltdown - Girls Side

2000 Machine is still playing together! We will be playing in Clash at U19level. We have added 3 98's and a 99 to our roster for this tourney. It's a great group of athletes and very fun to coach. The U19 level will be a challenge for them, but I think they will hold their own.

2015 State tournament Seedings and Discussion

imnotwearingacup,

Yes it is The Blake School of 1900's fault! I wouldn't blame the players, but the coach and AD need to step up and play with the big girls. It's pretty obvious to most of the state!

Congrats on winning the small 'town" state championship AGAIN.

Re: would you support

Blueandwhite, seriously? "Looking forward to the day when your kid gets cut" lol My kid has been cut! My kid has also persevered and not let it define him/her. And, it certainly hasn't defined his/her parents! The bottom line is kids get cut all the time, some kids play a lot and some play...

NO! But, I'd be in big time favor of whining parents just shutting up and letting the coaches coach and the players play. Life isn't fair...deal with it!

It's time - Preseason Top 20

D6 Girls Fan, "9) Edina - Really don't like how they dumped so many experienced players in favor of youth - it is now pretty much a two-person team with a bunch of good kids."

Are you clueless or what?[/quote]

Transfers 2013

AGAIN, why does anybody care about why an individual transfers schools? It is NONE of your business! Do you care what grades Suzie down the street gets? You shouldn't...you should worry about what grades your child gets! Seriously, quit whining about kids that transfer schools and whether or not the...

The real question is why does anybody care if a kid transfers to another school? And, why should it matter what the reason is? It is their personal and family choice. Who cares? Let them transfer and let them enjoy their new school for whatever reasons they chose it. Big deal!

54's 16's and 17's

I think we’re shortening the bench. If the goal is to make sure 1-8 get included in the 15 that go to the national festival, then this process is probably doing very well. However, doesn’t MN usually send 20, 30, 40 girls off to D1 hockey, plus a whole pile that will play D3 and a bunch more that’l...

54's 16's and 17's

I think the truth of the matter is that on the Boys side there is closer to a 50% turnover and that is due to the obvious physical changes that take place for boys at this age. On the other hand, girls don't have the physical changes (or as many), therefore the best group of players typically won't ...

Edina Sportsmanship

Northhockey8, I couldn't agree more with the Edina girls hockey program issuing an apology for their behavior at the State Tournament. If I could write it for them it would go something like this: Dear 12UA State tournament teams, Thanks for an incredible tournament and some out of this world games....

U12A State Tourney

D6 and D10 look to be the dominate teams this year...I don't think I'd get to excited about a all D6 final. I think every game is going to be a dogfight! Watch out for Roseau...they are a sleeper. I could see a D6vs.D10 semi on both sides of the brackets. Anyone's guess from there....

U12A State Tourney

Any bold predictions?

It looks as if D10 is pretty strong this year with three representatives...D8 proved to be overmatched.
