Got it forwarded to me a few days ago. It appears to be the same group that went public as the new owners of NE. Dear Revolution families, Hope this note finds everyone well and enjoying their hockey season. Tom and I wanted to update you on the status of our initiatives to develop Tier 1 Hockey in ...

Please tell me this isn't the Omaha team that the Minnesota kids left for.... It's a U15 team. The Omaha team that Minnesota kids left for, lost to Honeybaked 2-1, in an abbreviated game. From the reports I got, It coulda went both ways. Honeybaked went on to win the tourney 4-0 over Chicago Mission.

Observer: It's no mystery why T1 teams have kids at the front end of a birth year at the younger ages as they are usually stronger, larger and more mature. Many studies have been conducted in this regard. However, it does seem to average out a little as they get older. I have seen the percentage of ...

OT- There are many teams across the country that field teams comprised two birth years. The difference is the age of the oldest kid on the team determines the classification (example; Edina would have been considered a 99 or bantam team regardless of (1) 99 or (10) 99's). I really don't mean to beat...

JSR, OT, It looks like we found some common ground! OT, there's no doubt , Tier II has very good players that rival Tier I players. My point to all: There is a big world out there full of terrific hockey players and some of them are coming from some of the most remote places, not just the Detroit's ...

OT, Super Series was created for the smaller markets. For what that's worth, to get the best available teams together for a minimal cost. Too many overrides by other tourney's (Ex. hotels). Top 30 teams are very good, after top 20 it becomes an issue of depth. There are some very good players on low...

Shin, to compare these suburbs to Detroit is impossible. To compare the demographics would create a race riot.......88% of Edina, white, affluent, ect. Detroit the same demographic MOVED out of the immediate area. You ever been there? Apocalyptic !! That's why you have kids from a large area in Detr...

Congrats to the Hornets. The only way to truly settle the birth year argument is to assemble a before and after team, like TW. Because we all know that winter T1 isn't happening. The Michigan teams are not the same in April as they are throughout the winter. So, the hopes to match the 00 Machine to ...

O T , I enjoyed the article as well. I also see components that are a slight advantage and really make it difficult to compare one system (Minn) vs the other (T1 birth yr). I understand your logic, but the alignment to play Tier 1 teams will not happen until U16 - U18. Until then, it's simply apples...
