Well said Spin. You earn your region birth with a nice regular season and a nice win or two in the district playoffs. I absolutely agree with what is said. To think that D8 headquarters is at Wakota Arena and these two teams that played emotional tight games have to come back 3 hours later is not w...

They should make 1AA the backdoor section for 2AA and 6AA. And how about 3AA? 2AA also only has 2 horses in the race. Jefferson has been on the down fall, prior lake although improving in their association was in no way a contender in sections. Point of the matter is, yes 1AA is consistently weak y...

I agree, however, the biggest joke was the D6 playoff bracket and how three teams qualify for regions on one win. They definitely made it difficult, if not impossible for any team seeded 5th or below to make it. Chaska/Chan went 4-2 and did not make it after losing its sixth game to Edina (which we...

I wouldn't call it official until District 8 confirms it but I'm 99.99 % sure that's who you will see at the East Regional.
Lakeville South beat Lakeville North 7-3
Woodbury beat Eastview 3-2 in 3OT

Agree with most of the info posted. My biggest "complaint" is that it costs say $700 for a tourney team entry that is split amongst player families. Sure it may only be an additional $20 per player so that there is not a gate fee but guess who ends up paying for all the non-player family ...

Could not agree more. Defensemen are pretty much left to fend for themselves. Most practices are breakouts, powerplays, etc.. No fundamentals on angles, corner physical play, defense in front of your net, "coming down the slot" on offensive opportunities, defenseman skating breakouts, jus...

How are u suppose to teach skills pertaining to correct body position when there is...

Totally agree with what a lot of you are saying. coached in two peewee games. The first game the refs wouldn't let you breathe in the wrong direction without calling something. Last time i checked (no pun intended) but you are still allow to pin (just don't make a loud noise against the boards) and ...
