Congrats to Keegan Iverson and Paul Bittner on winning the whl championship. These two are on their way to the memorial cup. great job.. Thats excellent! And don't forget Mac Carruth. Another one of the 3 Minnesota boys on that team. Carruth 16-4-1 in the playoffs with a 1.63 GAA and 94% save perce...

To slightly change the subject, let me ask a question about these kids. Were they all superstars through squirts and peewees and everyone knew who they were or are there a couple that developed late and went from good players to great players at bantam or later? Just curious as I am not from there ...

Way I've seen it, levels top to bottoms would go, based on hockey play: USHL NAHL/Candian Junior A equals more or less. Tier 3 One thing about the CMJ A League, is that there is lot of differences between the leagues/teams. Some leagues are good, some not, same with teams. I.e, the Canadian teams I...

They must be pretty good, as they are in the RBC Cup this week. Yes, I think they are first SIJHL team to reach the RBC Cup Tournament. Not sure why they would drop down a Tier to the NAHL. Maybe to save the billet expenses or maybe just tired of the constant travel up North, although that won't ge...

Strange that only 11 forwards for the 16s. You would think that we would get at least 20 kids at each level. There will be 20. If last year is any guide, USA Hockey is saving a spot for Alec Baer, and so they should Why should they save a spot? Well, the whole idea is to gather the very players fro...

One was born February of 1996 and the other June of 1997. So they are 1 year apart. Maybe one got held back or started school late and is a freshman when he could easily be a soph. Big fricken deal. You make it sound like the poor little scrawny 15 year old took on a 23 year old Man!! Feb 1996 to J...

6 looks weak. The thing that is going to hurt 6 is no juniors. They had a very deep team in 16 and 17's but now the skill, along with goaltending, is being spread out between the 18's and Great 8. While there are some strong Juniors in Section 6, it's the fact that some strong seniors chose not to ...

What the heck are you guys talking about? Looked like two little weenie sissies to me. There are 1000 players that would pound either one of these posers. I'd like to see you say that to his face. You'd be picking teeth out of your bottom lip for a week  Hockey North: One is a 17 year old with...

Re: Gone to Juniors
Don't just warm the bus up, hop in and drive it to the land of neck guards, hand rails and nerf pucks. He is in a hockey league, with lumps, bumps, bruises and scoreboards. He knows that if things get rough, a teammate will have his back and he theirs. This is not senseless stick swinging and there...

I attended both games and I am more impressed with Eastviews effort that White Bears. It should be noted that I am not one of the many Hillmurray bashers, I actually like them and have cheered for them since I was a kid, I just think after seeing Eastview that they could really give Hill some troub...

Once again the most popular man in the building should be Zach Driscoll. There are only a handful of Pioneer faithful who won't be cheering loudly for the Eastview goaltender. The rest of the State is cheering you on loudly. Can Eastview catch lightning in a bottle on the big stage? My money says th...

Jesse grew up near the Wheatkings and dreamed of playing for them. He is a great player and nice young man who has worked very hard to get where he is. The best of luck to Jesse and his family. I for one will be watching the Minnesota boys in the WHL and hope they continue to do well. Good luck to ...
