This was one of the three games I saw today. Not sure what has happened to a once pretty good Blaze team, but they looked awful for the first 2 periods. They made a goalie switch when they were down 5-2, and actually outplayed Jefferson in the 3rd - with the final being 5-4. I think Jefferson scored...

Wow - you guys gave me some great things to think about. Thanks! Nope, I am not giving out any hints, I try really hard not to hurt feelings, I think the example of Alex Lyon (who is doing really well in Tier 1 US Juniors) is a valid point. A really great goalie helps his (or her) team play better a...

Goalie Stats argument

I was at the many rinks of the Schwan's Cup this past weekend, and overall had a great time. Saw some old friends and met some new ones.....however, I got into sort of an argument with a goalie father who was ranting about his son's save percent stats. Burnsville's goalie REALLY kept them in the game, but the Blaze couldn't put together 3 good periods of hockey. DE is the best overall team in the state, they showed that today. Their PP is something else, just unbelievable. After watching Minnetonka for the 3rd time this year, I'd still give the ed...

Duluth East has yet to play a top 10 team and Minnetonka has only played one. They could be in for a wake up call during their first couple games on their way to the championship. Burnsville definitely has the ability of coming out and winning that first game against East and Edina definitely has t...

I have heard of a few Varsity goalies that are either working their way back from a concussion, or are on the shelf because of a concussion. I wish Aaron the best of luck.
