How to destroy a 9-year-old
Witnessed this at the rink this past weekend: Midwest Selects Minor Squirt final game. One team rostered a replacement goalie at the last minute. Don't know why...assuming the other goalie pulled out. The kid's name didn't even appear in the program. The tournament apparently has a rule that each te...

Why no programs this year? No programs. No trophies. No medals. No t-shirts. No hats. No online scores/stats. No internet video coverage. No out-of-town teams. But the champions did get a bag of Dilly Bars (no I'm not making that up). Stick a fork in this tournament. I feel bad for the teams that s...

Re: Stars and Stripes 2002 Open Division
Does anyone know the score of the Precision Hockey/Lightning game? From what i saw, the Precision team should have had a pretty easy time with them but you never know. Yes, they did win going away...anyone see how the '03 division came out? Euro took the ship over Mustangs Vapor beat Chiefs for 3rd.

MG taking a simple approach with their 03's: Give the kids first-class training, in a world-class facility, treat them like rock stars (yet treat them like kids), and charge a (better than) fair price. The families on that team are a tight knit group. I'm sure a few of them will play in the Brick ne...

MG beat the Blades 7-6 in this mornings rematch. The game ended with 2 MG players in penalty box. MG defended the net 3 on 6 to hold the score. A great game played by ALL the kids! What was the difference? Simply better play by MG or some other explanation like different goalies, etc.? Both Blades ...

Maybe not a Tier 1 team after all?MrBoDangles wrote:Walser might as well of been Denny Hecker's......Watched some of the game.HockeyDad41 wrote:11-1 vs Walser? Look out Miracle Gold.

EDIT:
Not to pile on, but looking at all of last night's scores, Team Walser went 0-5 at the 99-03 levels of the Meltdown.

Just to clarify, Team Walser replaced Machine Black right? Guessing Machine Orange and some of the other Blades squads will be in Chicago for the Shuffle this same weekend? I think Team Walser is supposedly a separate roster from the Machine teams (Black and Orange). I'm sure there will be some ove...

2003 game between Miracle Gold and Euro American was pretty lopsided the other night. Looks like Gold has a whole mess of talented 03's. They don't look like a team of 8 and 9-year-olds the way they move the puck. It will be interesting to see if any team can hang with them. That may be going a bit...
