Re: AA QF Game- #2 Stillwater vs #7 Andover
Andover definitely wins the pre-game lineup show, if you are into that sort of thing. Wowza! That's an interesting crew.

"They" would tell you that the increased import limits raises the level of play in the league and is better for development. I agree with you though, takes development opportunities from American born players.

Re: The NCAA is poised to let in Canadian major junior hockey players. Here’s what it could mean to the CHL
“College hockey gets deeper and more Canadian,” said one Hockey East coach ahead of the decision. You know what? Screw that. To think our tax dollars go to support our State institutions and those institutions will now give those hockey opportunities to Canadians. This does nothing but hurt American...

Re: The NCAA is poised to let in Canadian major junior hockey players. Here’s what it could mean to the CHL
All I see are more Canadian born players choosing the NCAA route if the CHL straight to NHL route does not work meaning less opportunities for American born players to play NCAA hockey. This will hurt American born players. The pool of available hockey players for the NCAA just swelled while the num...

Re: Sharpest and most boring uniforms at the tournament
Cathedral gets extra credit for their logo and the baby blues are sharp. Would bump them up to the "great" category. I was in a bar/restaurant watching the A championship and overheard several people comment positively about the logo and the unis. Love the throwback to the Minnesota Fighti...

Re: HDM 2025 at ValleyFair in Shakopee
Since this was announced, I've been trying to do a visual of where the rink would be located on the property. Out in the parking lot seems boring but I suppose you could put the rink right next to the entrance and have Wild Thing in the backdrop. Would be cool if there is room INSIDE the park to put...

Re: Streaming
I do appreciate how you can now stream it via the app on Roku. App is installed on my Android phone for the weekend too.
Some advice, it takes a while to load. It will stall, then stall on the schedule screen, eventually it loads up and goes. Patience necessary, even at 1 GIg speed service.

I think it is obvious Stella Maris is going to evolve into a Tier 1 program. An article I read on the school pretty much outwardly said it, that there is a void of a Catholic school from all across Northern Minnesota all the way down to the Metro and across Wisconsin to Green Bay and up into the UP ...

3 little letters to combine with Go Fund Me - N I L Amazes me sometimes that there are tons of kids all over the Metro who will play their last games as Bantams because they have no chance at making their High School teams due to the large number of players in the association. Re: 8 and under numbers
1. COVID had a huge effect on U8 numbers last year, which should surprise nobody. What we really need to keep our eyes on is this year's enrollment numbers. Need a huge rebound.
2. USAH numbers do not take into account players in non-sanctioned leagues. AAU Mite hockey is growing every year.

Re: A Third Class
I know people don't like recruiting and open enrollment but it could also work in the other direction. Every time a player is recruited and open enrolls into one of the "power programs" it displaces a local player that is a pretty decent hockey player. There is a whole lot of meat left on ...

Not trying to flame here, what has happened to Luverne? They had some pretty solid years and now have really fallen off. I know they have a pretty good group coming up in, I think, PeeWees or Bantam age now. Just some lean years or have they lost players to that AAA program to the west?

(get ready for business, Hudson and Somerset) Nope. MN Hockey is forbidding any team from practicing or playing outside of the state as well. If a team tries to play out of state they will be treated as an unsanctioned team as defined by MN Hockey and USA Hockey. The emails have already been sent o...
