The reason attendance has been going down for decades is two-fold. The increase of options for today's high school kids...face it, 20-30 years ago, there just wasn't much to do compared to today's culture. Second, high school hockey in MN is not as big of a deal as many of you think it is. It's just...

I'll second that notion. Lindgren is bigger and tougher and more versatile of a player. Anderson is all offense. In fact, Bellows always has out-pointed Anderson on their AAA teams.

I'd put it like this for 98's.
1.) Lindgren
2.) Bellows
3.) Anderson

I was just saying in my day, there was no other option. I was drafted #2 overall in the USHL draft and went to UMD. I have no regrets on how my own career played out. I just think its good that kids have more options these days and MN kids should have the option to play where they please and should ...

Internet troll? Says the guy trying to kill an hour by cutting down a 15 yr old?

Winning a state championship...ummm....yes I did.

Idolizing 15 yr olds? Ummm...No. I barely even know him or his family. I just think what Pauly did was short-sighted and the punishment did not fit the actions.

His name will be forgotten in weeks. This is my biggest problem with the defenders of HS hockey. Unlike Mr. WBL puckster, I have actually won a HS state title. If I had Alec's options where I could play Junior and better realize a dream of playing in the NHL, vs winning a state title with my "...

If he did make it to the NHL and did well, all the posters would be coming out of the woodwork to congratulate him and how much he is doing MN proud. He takes a logical step in exploring an alternative to making his dreams come true and Pauly and all the other HS hockey afficianados go nuts on him a...

Pauley obviously has a very personal agenda going on right now with this decision. He should've stuck him on JV for a game or two and then let him come back if he worked hard at practice and was positive teammate on JV. Then we wouldn't have wasted 9 pages of our lives discussing this. Pauly looks a...

Your on this thread like a hawk superstar. Didn't know I had to lay out my case for you better than I did. O'Leary has taken over a semi-wobbly program with a lot of defections and backstabbing and got a talented group of 97's to stay within Wayzata. His two best offensive players are a sophomore an...

This list is not well thought out. This is pretty much a two man contest between Pat O'Leary and Bill Lechner. Both have taken teams thought to be in slight rebuild mode and have them as the top two teams in the state. Giles has done less with more than any other coach. That roster is absolutely loa...

These kids were and are great, because they are talented. Associations, private lessons, camps etc. all made them better. They all do have talent and determination. But the reason they are able to make the impact that they have at HS, Tier 1, Jrs. is because of the hand skills they learned from him....

Snarky forum The 96 team that played in a tourney last summer for Made, was not the original team that played together for several summers. Of the 96 Machine kids, they made up almost half of the Select 16 team that went to NY last summer...so that says a great deal about the success of his program....
