Great pick and incredible coaching job at tourney given the line juggling he had to do having lost two key forwards (#7 & #25) to injuries early in the Edina game. Neither returned to the game - something the announcers did not entirely pick up on (go figure) - and they did not play in the 3rd p...

One heck of a player (first team all the way), but the Classic Suburban is one horrible and stat happy (*) conference.

EP was the state bantam champs 3 years ago (Edina was taken out by Mpls. Park Storm in regional play). EP is playing their best hockey of the year right now. It certainly could be a conference clash in the championship game.

We almost agree Almost. Some strange results with the Cats this year and it was 2 early soft goals let in last year that put Eagan on there heels but close enough. I agree the goal differentials and the lack of close games from 2012-13 didn't help Eagan kind of resembling the portrayal from Miracle...

Finally got a chance to take a look at the Encyclopedia today. They certainly do a nice job with it aside from me having to put my reading glasses to good use to read the small print. I did notice a few glaring omissions from the Super 100 Seniors List IMHO including Hale (BSM), Murphy (Prior Lake),...

Good callout Sk8 Str8....12 point for a Soph in Elite League play is really good. Checked the roster and he is one of 10-11 underclassman on team north. Another year of getting bigger (6'2" 198 lbs... as if he needs anymore size :) ! ) and stronger and look out. You can also add Peterson, Pionk...

Re: Blades and Elite

For future years, the U18 Blades should be the additional/eighth team invited to play in the Elite League Playoff. Why not?! Or perhaps the Elite D regular season winner rather than an invite team from the league. It's playoff hockey this weekend and I expect the D League Team to get steamrolled by ...

Four weeks into league play and we already have online posturing, coaxing and bantering such as this? Go figure. Pointwise, much can happen/change in a 3 game stretch or over the next 4 weeks. And don't forget about the HS season ahead. Guess we'll have to check in during the weeks ahead for excitin...

We already know Nanne is headed to Natty/Nanne Camp thanks to Grandpa Lou who has pulled favors the last two years. It's not to imply Nanne is not good, because he is and perhaps will advance on his own merit this time around. The #6 spot could easily be one of several quality players sitting home t...

I am hesitant to even put STA in the top 10 of AA, considering they are losing 12 to 13 seniors this year. Opted up a year late perhaps? With no truly dominant AA team this past season, it would sure seem so. Make no mistake, STdoubleAA will be good. And while talented, not over the top with depth/...

Re: Where do they come from?

With all the private school talk, I am curious where do the players come from? As in, where did they play their youth hockey? I don't think hijacking Bantam programs counts as playing their youth hockey. Great question. Here are a few private schools at an initial glance (have not accounted for eve...

I do expect a fairly competitive game here. Eastview is well-built to give a top team fits in the first round, and we'll see how Hill handles that burden of the top seed. Only Eden Prairie in 2011 has managed to win when going in as the #1. An upset could certainly happen. But I'm afraid I see this...

I believe en route stops in Edina and Maple Grove prior to arriving at Eagan.

I would agree. Since the MSHSL bases sections purely on geography, 3AA is teh only logical spot for them. It is possible that someone else, probably Cretin-Derham Hall, would be moved, likely to 4AA. I really like this idea Either 3AA or 4AA where either (and only) Hill or WBL win every year. If ST...
