What a game

Hard to imagine Maht isn’t the favorite in OT. Warroad leaning too much on that top line, who must be absolutely exhausted.

Warroad’s defensive zone play is often sloppy; I also thought the same in the previous game.

I need to see how many minutes Pilgrim & Shaugabay have logged in this tournament. Gotta be a record!

Boy, that 5:00 major might sink Warroad. Everyone knows the game is fast, but what a terrible penalty to take.
I should add that I am very glad that young man from Orono didn't appear to be injured. It looked bad.

Little controversy on that wave off, as it was very clear from the replay that goal was no good.

This is the first full Warroad game I’ve seen this season. Do Shaugabay and Pilgrim always play this many minutes?

That is a good point. I think that if they get Hermantown, they have a good chance of keeping it close. I have a more difficult time seeing them keeping it close with Warroad; that top line is ridiculous. That being said, as a SW MN guy myself, I hope I'm wrong and they go all the way!

They are likely to be matched up with Warroad/EGF or Hermantown in the first round, I suspect. I hope they can make it competitive!

I can't understand why anyone, outside of the other towns in 8AA, would not want to see Roseau in the Tourney whenever possible. Tough day for Foster, the Warroad goalie. Five goals on a dozen shots really hurts.

Private schools should have their own section. If they have a hockey team, they are in that section. I think let that section play at state, still. I don’t see how that is unreasonable. Almost by definition, they have different standards than the publics.

Third goal may be the back-breaker.

I like the idea of having eight section winners and eight from the polls in a 16-team tourney. I think it would go over very well.

This does bring up an interesting thought exercise. Could Edina's (or Maple Grove's, or Minnetonka's, etc) Junior Gold team win Class A state?
