The only way you can pull that off is to be a huge Association like Edina, or put together All-Star teams of the top players from all over a large Metro area. Hermantown has been able to do that. Duluth_Topper named all of the transfers and open-enrollees on all of those teams in a different thread...

I was just curious when the u18s left as I missed seeing some of the girls play. I didn’t say anything about these absences affecting their teams or bracket outcomes? The gold teams I was referring to that really struggled didn’t have any Team USA players. Again, ? I guess you needed to get that ran...

QUOTEIn the minutes of a Herm youth hockey board meeting from a year or two ago, they discussed the fact that recruiting of players from nearby associations was indeed happening and that there had been complaints from Herm parents about it. This is a fact. I read it myself on the association website...

Agree to disagree. As someone who also knows and has often spoken with the coach and AD, I can tell you they are proud to run up the score like this and have their top line players scoring their 5th goals in the third period. You act as if they were helpless to not score 20 goals. Play your 4th line...

Warroad, is a wonderful community and they have a great hockey tradition. These tournaments are scheduled two years out. The Ad’s and coaches are trying to project where their programs are and where they will be at the time they are scheduling these tournaments. Before you judge to quickly take int...

Did anyone catch the score of the Warroad game today against some poor team from Minot ND? 20-rip . I suppose this is the type of notable performance no one wants to see. Would the MSHSL even count this game, or the stats that go with it? I know, Warroad cannot control who they get in a holiday tou...

Time for a 15 minute stream of consciousness ramble... Why do girls do HP? Is it for more hockey? I believe that is NOT the case as there are PLENTY of options for more hockey...at least in the extended metro area. Also the timing is really bad for lots of people's spring breaks. Is it to play for ...

Re: transfer
The MSHL could track the reason why students want to transfer athletic programs to see what the main reasons might be. I would guess the topic 2 reasons would be to get into a stronger program and/or better coaching. There are plenty of hockey coaches that don't have good reputations not to mention...

There have been a ton of D3 declarations all over social media since Christmas. I've never seen a list, that would be a great addition to the board. Far more to keep track of than D1 but an impressive achievement for each and every player who gets to play beyond high school. Curiously, I've noticed ...

IMHO, of course we could all name exceptions... But Forwards - much better, especially speed and passing Defense - about half and half. There are a lot of girls who just look smart and seem to read the whole ice every zone change, while others can't lift their heads up for anything and are turning o...

Happy last Prospects weekend! I'd have to go back to look at rosters the first two weekends, but is it just me or has there been a dramatic fall-off in goaltending? I've watched games across every level now and all I can say is wow. Don't think I've ever felt as sorry for players just so out of thei...

Master schedules out today only show 8 Minnesota teams across all 5 levels? 8 out of what, 150 teams? Could this possibly be correct and/or have many realized that there isn't as much value in the big tourneys out East when Braemar hosts just as many coaches and recruiters all summer? I think I shar...

Is this the first year they've had 4 tiers? I watched (I think) every team in the top 3 prospects brackets at least once. I don't want to call out players or teams, but after black/gray/white/red it seemed just about every team in 2nd and 3rd levels had at least 2 up to 4-5 players who really really...
