Royals I respect your post, and the question I have is depth. Pretty good article in Sunday's sports section on Giles and edina and how he lost playing a shortened bench a few years back to HM with his stars getting the majority of ice time. They ran out of gas. He learned and admitted this mistake...

It's really a shame this has unfolded this way if true. A great kid and very good goalie. We have a log jam at goalie with two sophomores and if things stayed the same would have been 1 junior and 2 sophomores. I am sure there were plenty of games they both could have played versus going exclusively...

Spot on with the numbers at youth. Doesn't Tonka have two 12A teams this year? With 36 and Ej's mentality good luck to the girls who land on the bottom four lines from these teams in HS, they will never play since they will not be a top ten skater and that is ok with 36. Is this the norm at Tonka, w...

I received the Bat signal and twitter posts that 36 referenced my team. (a big shoutout for Crimson) I appreciate the thought and we will have to win our first game to have the opportunity to play Wayzata which will present a very big challenge with Shaver and supporting cast of 3 lines. If we are t...

Batman, you'll have no problem finding me. I will still be in my Halloween Robin getty up, right after I get off the ice from reffing. But I will still be wearing my mask to keep my confidentiality and not violate the MSHL agreement for non parent refs in sections. Good Luck to your girls Roll Tide ...

Is Blaine the new #1......
Hockey Hub showing 2-0, is this a correct score? I am sure somebody can fill us in on the blow by blow plays like they did for the Blake scrimmage. Maybe the results are wrong, Tonka must have been fighting the illness that took out their whole team vs Blake? Or maybe this was a scrimmage like Blake...

Re: Is Blake the New #1 in both Class A & AA
How many lines did Tonka roll in the scrimmage? My guess is that Blake was trying some different combos too. Was #35 in goal for Tonka the whole game? Just trying to get a grip on how the scrimmage played out. Be careful to state that Blake is #1 - I'm guessing that you're saying it with a grain of...

Re: Is Blake the New #1 in both Class A & AA
3-0 vs Tonka today    Blake has a great core of young D and one of the best young goalies in the State. I am sure Wayzata wishes they still had this option. I agree with the wolf, the homer you are 36 I really hope Tonka goes down this year. Sections are for the girls, not the parents... All you have to do is put a body on #5 and it's over. This time I will root for anyone in section 6 to knock off Tonka! Puckdaddy99 you already seem to be looking over...

I think the Lake conf-section six parents should get a lawyer and start going to the MSHSL monthly meetings. You need to get this wrong turned into a right ASAP! I'm cheering for a CDH win over HM-MG win over Tonka-Edina win over EP-Dodge county win over one of the Lakevilles in sections. I'm sure ...

Sorry EP, but I was the benefactor of a fine education from Edina. I grew up bailing hay where your mall sits. When I was a kid, the only reason to go to EP was to go to Lions Tap for burgers. FYI, a Hornet's vernacular includes of all sorts of big words, such as State Champions. That's probably du...

Promo for Miss Hockey...you are one of the new wave bloggers the misinterpret everything and your guess work on teams is embarrassing. Massalsa was just noting the impact of missing quality players when people are evaluating wins and losses. Your clueless as to the strength of Bigham and Johnson. C...

Re: Maple Grove vs Tonka
I saw the 3rd period of Hopkins vs Tonka this past Tuesday. Tonka looked reasonably strong to me. Just as strong as Edina and EP. The 3rd period was in Tonka's favor and they definitely played the body more than Hip Hopkins. While both teams were missing arguably their highest end player I think th...

Re: Maple Grove vs Tonka
It will be interesting to see how Tonka fares vs Maple Grove and EP again. The teams that are physical with Tonka appear to throw them off their game and their forwards are not able to navigate through the traffic and get shots off. It will be a good test for Maple Grove and see if the can capture ...
