Heard any rumors that Nicky Lievermann won't be back to EP this year?

GR beats EP
7 goals from GR on EP? Defense and goaltending another weakness this year for EP? smith is always hoping his forwards will carry the game forgetting that he needs defense and a good goalie. Casey can't win the state title alone. Don't we all remember the weak goals of last year's state tournament? I...

Minnesota Hockey Tournament
My friend is taking me to a tournament this weekend in Plymouth put on by Minnesota Hockey; called High Performance. I've tried to do some reading about it to get educated. It seems like it should be a great way to see some of the top players from each section all in one place. We're going to watch ...

Hey Hawkeysauce89
While Carlson lingered in junior gold there were two kids taking those varsity spots. Where are they now?

Not true
Hate to tell you Wayzata is not my team. Just a blue collar guy from the northern suburbs. Anoka was my team! Just don't understand how you can make a blanket statement that jv goalies are as good or better than varsity goalies? I would assume the coach who see's them everyday would play the best g...

Maybe?
Overall, I thought the two best teams played the championship game and the deeper team with a better goalie won. That being said, i liked one of your JV goalies. He was quite technical and didn't flop around like a fish. Can't remember his number though. He could have gotten the job done. Hope he ge...

Exactly
So you're saying there is no difference between varsity and jv goaltending ability? Just better D, but the same quality of shooters? Sounds like your kid was a jv tender. That's exactly what I'm saying. In fact, i think many of the JV goalies are better. I have no kid in hockey. Got back into HS ho...

Great 8
Anyone been to these games to watch? I went to the 3 vs 6 and 2 vs. 7. Wow. #-o Section 6 goaltending was abysmal and proves everything I've said all year about varsity vs. JV goaltending. Many of these varsity goaltenders have good stats due to the people in front of them covering their mistakes (w...

Re: goalies
schillings needs to stop playing on his stomach. he could have stopped that first goal if he wouldn't have fallen on his gut. Burnsville goalie is small. Crashing the net could force a goal just by pushing him in the net. Here's hoping Wayzata regroups after that less than stellar first period. I p...

is there any reason in particular why all the EP kids take their glove off when they high five each other after a goal with the guys on the bench? ive never seen this before? ive seen the high fiving the bench guys, but not the 1 glove off thing theyre doing. I was wondering that, too. Lee what I w...

Fun Game
The SPA/St. Cloud game was played at a much higher skill level than I expected. I really enjoyed watching both teams play. The St. Cloud goalie is everything that I've been talking about all season, he's big and very technical. He kept his team in the game and did his job. Not one of the AA goalies ...

Litchfield goalie
I saw some highlights from the luverne game. Ouch. I hope he's working with a goalie coach since that game.
Hermantown will score quickly and often. Sorry dragons.

EP goaltending
The key to beat EP is getting many shots on goal. On average the goalies let in 2goals for every 15 shots. They win by holding opponents to under 24 shots. If Anoka throws all their icing shots and dump and chase shots on him something may go in. I'd he does cover the puck at least Anoka will get an...

Let me get this straight
I love to read this thread. It's better than a soap opera. Thanks! Let me see if I understand this correctly: 1. Section 3a is made up of good farm families and small towns separated by two hour drives between less than 10 arenas. 2. luverne birthed a corn fed kid that reached 6'4" by 14 that c...

So if I understand what your saying a lot of these top teams would be better if they'd all be playing the JV goalies? And last year LN had depth including 3-4 core D that helped that goalie (remember he let in a handful against Farmington but maybe they should have played there JV goalie). Lots of ...

Re: Fun game
If the EP goalie didn't let in 2 soft goals and if his team could have stayed out of the box, they would have won. Can't wait for their next match up. These are some talented kids. Fun game to watch.
