Re: Checking in bantams
Both organizations have cash in the bank. At the MH level some of us have been advocating return of funds/reductions in player fees. MH has set up a couple of programs to send money back to the district level and provide an avenue for needy requests to be handled. The suggestion from tapinbirdie has...

Re: Play-off Games Tuesday Feb 26 2019
Bears up 3-0 after 2 periods versus Woodbury. Shots 36-10. Bears had 24 in 2nd period alone. Bears 3rd Line has all 3 goals. A couple posts, a disallowed goal, and great Woodbury goaltending have kept them within earshot. Woodbury has not created any offense at all...but still 17 minutes left to mak...

STA played: Minnetonka Eden Prairie Eastview Holy Family Benilde Hill x2 Mahtomedi x2 Stillwater Edina Prior Lake Rosemount Cretin Lakeville North Those are all mostly good teams and they went 11-3-1 against them. Good point Deacon. That is very good competition right there. People get caught up in...

Re: Play-off Games Tuesday Feb 26 2019
I'm guessing WBL 5-1. A couple early goals by the Bears will give em some breathing room. But, it looked like HM was going to blow out Tartan after the first period too.

Re: Games Friday 1-18-19
How about HM and Edina with the home and home this weekend? I'm sure it has been done before...but I don't remember any off the top of my head. Non-con scheduling I'd tricky and you only have a handful of games depending on conference size. Seems like a good idea to me if you can find the right oppo...

Re: Various top 10's as of 1-17 or most recent
WBL seems to be polarizing. As high as #6 and yet out of many top 10's. PageStat does not like them at all. They have beaten HM, Stillwater, and CDH by 1 goal while losing road games to Tonka and Duluth East by 1 goal (2 EN versus DE). They have two strong forward lines, 6 good D, and 2 nice goalten...

Re: Hockey Day in MN
Bemidji will do an awesome job hosting. Great location. My squad played outside 8 times last year. If it gets down around zero...it is really tough. Especially with any wind. Sounds like they are taking every precaution available to mitigate the cold. I will be up in Cloquet chasing kid #2 around th...

Re: Checking in bantams
I have been a head coach at the A Bantam level and these are just my experiences and two cents on the matter... I have a son that just left Bantams. He was of decent size for Bantams and was fairly rugged, but skated with his head down. He learned the hard way, especially against northern teams. I h...
