Program depth.......a very interesting statistic
There were 27 varsity level skaters (grades10-12) that have skated in the Edina program that are playing in a non-Edina MN high school varsity level program (including junior, ntdp or shattuck) this year.

In addition the Edina Jr Gold A team is in the State finals and the JV team ended up se...

in speaking about multiple sports
edina's varsity team had 7 players that are 3 sport
letter winners this past year.
I would bet there are very few aa schools that have the same ratio.

Also another interesting statistic. there were 27 varsity level skaters (10-12) that have skated i...

#1 ranking means something only at the end of the year.
Yes they may have a #1 ranking today but they still have to win the trny to be ranked number 1 at the end of the year.

Maybe, i'm missing something. My main point is Moorhead has had good and maybe even very good teams over the last 6 years at all levels. HOWEVER, they just cannot seem to get...

blue line chip for the gophers
I expect Hagemo to make a significant contribution to the Gophs next year. Lee, Ammerman, Anderson, Giligoski and Hillen are all good players but Hagemo has the fire and tools that separate him from almost anyone he plays. Hagemo would still have a senior year to play this fall should he have contin...

By token I meant they don't play enough
teams in the metro area. Yes they had scheduled 3
good games late in the season to get playoff ready.

It almost helped, but not quite enough................
And that is the basis of my previous post.

Moorhead puts up all the wins and n...

spuds in 2005
I agree the Spuds should be a talented team
next year, given that everyone stays!
I expect again there section will offer little resistance
to a state trip.

If Moorhead expects to be successful, win the
trny, they need to do more than schedule a couple token metro games at the ...

Want Wayzata...but
First, i believe Gorowsky is hurt much more
than we know. His 100% presence will be needed.

I like Wayzata's balance and depth. They have
2 former defenseman playing forwards. Winsor
and Mccarthy. I think Davis has done a nice job balancing his forward lines. Wayzata will get shots<...

elitism
This an interesting thread with a lot of spinoffs

Joe, I would disagree that such a program would
reduce elitism. I think it would do the opposite "eg
The Elite Fall league". There are always the "choosen few" that make a team. I am not aware of any team at any age i...
