How do the two players, Gordon and Fisher, compare? I am not from the Falls and would like some opinions from the folks up there.

Re: UP
I have never said the kid is not a good player or person. I just question if he will play D1. I hope he gets a chance and does, but don't be so sure is all I am saying.

Re: fisher
I think a more appropriate question would be if Drew will ever play junior hockey. He may have a shot to be a fourth line role player in the USHL. That is just my opinion. I don't think the kid can play through the physical stuff he is gonna see after high school.

Re: playing more than one sport
What do you guys think of this idea? Moving the spring sports such as baseball, track, golf, etc.. back two to three weeks and allow for more time between fall, winter , and spring sports. Maybe even starting the fall sports a week earlier. Give the kids and coaches more flexibility. I know up north...

The biggest and funnest part of the weekend has to be the spaghetti feed and raffle giveaways at the Elk's Club.

Re: Wheeler
Perhaps the best thing that I heard about Blake Wheeler this whole weekend is that he was the starting Tight End on the football team this year. So many kids now seem to "focus" all of their efforts on being a hockey player and play hockey year round without enjoying the experiences of oth...

Is it just me or does the coverage,of UMD Hockey on UMD really suck. Bill Watson has to be the worst color commentator i have ever heard on TV.

That may be impossible to pin down to just one. Lots of good ones way up there over the years. Tim Sheehy would probably make everyones list toward the top. Way too many to mention.

The 1982 Section 7 Quarterfinals had perhaps the biggest upset of all time when Int'l Falls beat Hibbing 2 to 1 in Memorial Arena.

Re: More Bandwidth
In my opinion it is no that players are so much better now than years past, it is systems that have cluttered up so much of the ice. Kids have a hell of a time being creative because they arent allowed to be.
