Looks like at least 119 transfers were not likely athletics related. Or... there lays the real tragedy associated with the new rule. A possible 119 student athletes who are not going to be able to participate in their chosen sport this year. 119 sacrifices so we can be rid of this monumental quanda...

Is Yetzer going to Lakeville North or South? She was a dominator in U12. She has a cousin that is friends with one of my sons. We went to watch them a few years ago in Roch ... Yetzer for LV and Flesher for Rochester were in a class by themselves. Yetzer will play for Lakeville North. Great kid! Al...

Section 1AA
Teams that will be in that section are
Lakeville South
LAkeville North
Farmington
Fairbault
Mayo
Owtonna
RJM
Century
Dodge
Winnona
This section will be up for grabs. Not many strong teams but should be a new champion this year. Look for one of the Lakeville teams togo. Any thoughts on this section?

Parents
I can always tell which parents were accomplished athletes in high school and college and which ones were not. The ones that bark the loudest live vicariously through their children. Don't have a CLUE about anything, but undoubtably their child is the best. I'm scared to see what these children turn...

young varsity players
Given the ratio of girl's hockey players to soccer players, you can see why many hockey players make the varsity in 7th or 8th or 9th gade. Look at the youth program and see how many girl's play and it is not always a large number. You might have over a 100 girl's in a single grade playing soccer, s...

If you haven't had a chance to sit in a high school locker room, or hang out with the girl's intimately, you would be a little surprised. Decades ago, there was a huge difference between an eighth grader and a senior. This generation of athletes proves to have a lot in common, and not a large differ...

REFS
I know the refs are constantly having to critique the coaches, the fans, the people in the boxes, and the players, but isn't there a place where coaches get to critique the refs. If this is done more often, would it not be a way to help MSHSL weed out the bad refs. We don't always want to blame them...

I can't decide what is more entertaining this thread, or People magazine. Stop picking on the Catholics, half the kids that go there are probably Protestant! The perfect solution would be to open Muslim, Jewish, and Babtist schools, then you wouldn't have anything to talk about. Except of course, wh...

The Truth
I don't think it is necessarily the truth, but the way it is presented. Quite simply "treat others how you want to be treated" is a very simple rule to follow and live by. I think some of the posts on this board are not always of an intellectual nature. The purpose is to discuss matters, b...

Summer Hockey
I think typically in past years, there have been some RUMORS that if you didn't play summer hockey you would be cut. I can think of a particular school where this was an issue, however, I don't think an honest and fair coach would allow this. I know many coaches where the season starts when tryouts ...

My Space
Honestly, I agree with most of what has been said, but at some point we need to hold kids accountable for their actions. This "spare the rod spoil the child" concept has got to come to an end. If someone is that senseless to post things on their My Space that aren't true, then pay the cons...
