Sorry my stats this year were off. Westberg's GAA is .956 this year. Less than 1.0 !!!, almost unheard of in any league. Westberg is the best senior goalie I have seen this year, and I have seen all of them on the list. Elliot plays for a better team than does Westberg, especially the last four year...

I think it's time to move on, hockey is about team achievements, not individual awards. The people nominated all deserved to be and any such list will always omit some other that may be just as deserving. Nothing is accomplished by degrading the list or it's creators. The list is there...out in the...

The list is not credible without Westberg on it.

This list is an absolute joke without Liz Westberg's name on it. She has played in 19/26 games this year, against all of AHA's toughest opponents. Her save % is north of 95%. Her GAA is 1.21. Her record is 17-2-0. She beat Nixon of Blaine in both games, by scores of 6-3 and 5-1. You can't tell me sh...

Yes, it was ugly.

AHA 6 Farmington 4 Ugly game... A near major upset - I'm surprised AHA gave up 4 to Farmington. Very poor AHA goaltending. AHA's second stringer was in net. Shots were AHA 45 to Farmington 14 . Also, the refs thought it was a mite game and called way too many penalties. It was a rare moment when th...

Best D pairing.

Hard to imagine that there is a better pairing than Kelsey Romatoski and Colleen Krmpotich from The Academy of Holy Angels.

Romatoski controls the puck like better than any D in the state and Krmpotich is a great combination of speed, strength and a hard slap shot.

By the way...where is Hill-Murray in all of the rankings?

They've beaten Stillwater, tied Wayzata and lost a close one to White Bear Lake. Surely they deserve some top 20 consideration, unless those three teams aren't very good. Any thoughts out there?

Hey cluelessinminnesota,

Edina tied Shakopee this week. Their record is 4-0-1, and as a result will drop to 4th, in my estimation.

Top five will be:

1. Eden Prairie
2. Holy Angels
3. Cretin DH
4. Edina
5. Roseville

Too few games for this to have meaning. Seeing Eden Prairie at #8 is evidence of that.

Sorry Brian, Those players mentioned in my previous post were so mentioned because their transfers proved so many of my points. Their names were not mentioned in a negative vein, not in my estimation. Why did they leave BK? Don't know. Don't care. However, I fully support their right to do so. I am ...

Re: Could the Tide Finally be Turning?

Let's not mention that it isn't always difficult for parents to pay for a private education (many don't have to). Some (not mentioned) privates have athletic scholarships. They might not call them that, but they are provided by alumni and other deep pocket supporters. I have heard these innuendos, ...

Brian, I do think going to a particular high school because they have a stronger athletic program is a great idea, just as going to a particular HS for an academic program is also justified. You and I are in complete agreement here. I think the current transfer rules are better than the new proposed...

Re: Could the Tide Finally be Turning?

Especially effective is the provision that all those, regardless of year, who have competed on varsity at one school will lose a year of eligibility when transferring to another. This negates the common practice, especially among privates, of snatching the best young players from surrounding school...

Can't agree that Hopkins belongs in the top 20. Saw their scrimmage last week against AHA. One in which they were dominated from start to finish. Their program has a long way to go to break into the top 20 in my opinion.
