Outdoors- Great game, great environment

Silver Bay is not at all dominated by Seniors. While they have some nice seniors, there are nice players to fill their ranks. Two strong freshmen and two strong sophomores will return on defense and six or seven returning forwards should help them be solid for a while. Goalie is a sophomore.

As intense a game as you will see!

PHM - SB was played at Mars Lakeview. It was indeed an excellent game. SB was in the box much of the 3rd and held off some great scoring chances by PHM.

Both teams had great chances to win. Lots of good skaters on both teams.

I don't think anyone has mentioned Kirsten Sandstrom or Jessica Solberg for Silver Bay. Both have played regular shifts since 7th grade and are very solid players who can really skate.

Silver Bay 4
Eveleth 1

Cloquet 3-0 over Silver Bay. It was 1-0 until less than 5 minutes left and added an empty net goal. SB played tough, but Cloquet's goalie is big-time strong!

Silver Bay outshot Superior by a wide margin, but couldn't score. Superior sure surprised me, though. They have several really nice players, and they take good advantage of their big rink.

Three terrific games in Silver Bay this weekend.
