I was at the PeeWee State Tournament this past weekend in St Cloud and had the opportunity to take in several of the Bantam games. I watched the championship game between Wayzata & Duluth East. Great Game, East win's (3-2). I thought the East goalie was outstanding, a little guy, # 33. I saw him...

Congrats to Anthony! happy to see him going to a nice program that had a strong season this year. I wish him well in his career at Vermont and anticipate he will follow in the footsteps of current Catamount and Northern Minnesota product Corey Carlson. Great job Ant!

Although the Jet's leaving Fargo was expected, moving to Duluth would be a suprise. From the people that I have talked to they dont expect them to end up in Duluth.

As we all learned from the Bertuzzi incident and the series of events that actually led up to it hockey players, coache's and teams have very good memory's ! As stated earlier in this post it will be interesting to see if he play's the next time these two teams meet, following his suspension. There ...

I'm hearing that the Express moving to Detroit is a financial decision. It is sad to see Owatanna louse their team. From speaking with some of their current and former players it sounds as if they had community support. But, having support from a solid fan base and turning a profit can often be two ...

CLay Wilson/Cloquet

I read today in the Duluth New's Tribune that Clay Wilson former Lumberjack scored his first NHL point for the Bruin's after being called-up recently from the AHL. I remember watching him play in highschool on the blueline and thinking that this kid has a great future ahead of him. Really happy to s...

Kudo's to Jake for being named New's Tribune Player of the Year! A well deserved honor for a great player and a really great kid! I'm looking forward to following him in Green Bay and anticipate a standout career with the Gophers. Good job Jake, you earned it!

The rumor of a possible NAHL team being estabilshed in Duluth has been circulating for some time. I personally would like to see it happen but, also have reservations regarding it's ability to succeed in the Twin Ports. As stated earlier in a previous post there is an abundance of great hockey alrea...

I have had the opportunity to watch him play since he was a Pee Wee and beleive that he's made great progress, especially over the past two seasons playing in the USHL. His first year, last season was typical for a high school player in the league. I would say that Tyler had an "above average&q...

I only watched them in this game but both played well. Rendle makes up for his lack of size with smart head's-up play and moved the puck. Roy, scored a nice goal in the final period but also coughed up a puck that he clearly should have passed which resulted in a 2 on 1 and eventual goal for the gol...

I was down watching the 16's and had the opportunity to catch the championship or, 1st place game for the 17's between section 5A/AA Gold and, section 7A/AA Teal. Great game! Some very skilled players on both teams. It ended up 4-3 Gold but, could have gone either way. The 2nd goalie for the Gold pl...

Congrat's to the Bison they played a great game and exicuted a perfect game-plan against the Hounds. Anyone that has watched East at all this season knows that their defense "as a whole" is their weakness. Thats not saying individuals in that group played poorly. Every time I have seen Eas...

I have a feeling that TJ will be on the ice when the puck is dropped, he's a gutsy player and brings his game every night, especially against East! It's huge getting Karlsson back for this game. if Cloquet has everyone on this line healthy they can win but, it won't be easy overcomming the loss of t...

I don't see anyone on the Mayo roster that can play with East's 1st line, plus they don't have the depth to make this close.
