Jordan and Jonah Johnson never played for Stillwater Youth Hockey. They played for the Fire. And as for Housley getting kids to "stay home".....if we really need to revisit this after so many years, only 1 of those boys would've ever gone to Hill......Housley single handedly drove the rest...

Congratulations to Matt Doman and the Stillwater boys in his first season! I have heard the players really respect him as a coach.

While it may not seem like it to parents of high school hockey players who are immersed in the season, life is so much bigger than any one period of hockey, or a win or loss in one game of the season. As an alumni parent of the HM family, I am proud to come out of a program like this, and sadden at ...

This is my best guess at who will move up from JV. Jack Walsh - strong all around player Willie Faust - finds the net Tyler Hill - great improvement this season Defense Josh Olson Dave Bruchu He will keep Bahe, Holler and Cotroneo as top JV players for one more year of development. I also don't see...

A few years back for a Thursday afternoon game, we needed 2 extra tickets and bought standing room only tickets. We had no problem sitting where ever we wanted.

As I stated earlier, ultimately I am for the Association Hockey. However, if the private schools need to have separate youth associations to protect the kids interests, I agree that programs for private schools would be more affective at the older levels (Pee Wee or Bantams) since most kids do not l...

Thanks for asking Elliott!! I agree with thatababy. In my opinion, the best option would be to have Community based youth hockey through Bantams. HOWEVER, how can Minnesota Hockey look out for the interests of the kids. (I see MAHA as looking out for kids and the good of hockey). Adults (Coaches and...

go to Mn Hockey website and go the handbook or find a Mn Hockey handbook, look at how to file a grievence against the association, read it carefully and follow it , it will be the best way to get results, as for the coaches that allowed this ,there is only one way to handle them, as Donald Trump wo...

A private school kid tried to leave Stillwater earlier this year. He was a B player who wanted to play with his friends on the private school B bantam team, and Stillwater refused to give him a waiver. Don't want them, don't want to let them go....

Is it possible that a kid who is a good hockey player could make a choice to go to a school knowing he may not be "top dog" at that school, and may not even make that team....Is it ok for kids to choose class sizes of 20 kids, high levels of discipline, and academic rigor. Some kids realiz...

All three of the boys were Captains/Asst on Stillwater's Bantam A team. The forward must have been the leading scorer for Stillwater, and both defensemen were big, strong, and very involved in scoring as well. Are they going to make varsity on a team that is very deep? ...that remains to be seen, bu...

FanaticHockeyguy, you are so right. ASK THE PLAYERS is what the members and parents repeatedly said. These kids are loyal and committed beyond measure to this "Big, Bad coach". (Have you ever seen kids be loyal to someone who is abusive toward them?) The powers that be knew that if they as...
