would that be a good or bad thing? I think his wisdom and experiences will help quite a bit. I guess the only question I would have is can he relate to the kids and will the enthusiasm from him be enough...? I thoroughly believe that Bittner has the team this year to suprise alot of ppl. Beat Warroad.... maybe not but they could cause a few upsets.
Bits will have no problem relating and tehy will win some games but not against the Jacks!

OK UHL;Undercover Hockey Lover wrote:Interesting, Warroad is returning 15 letterwinners from their Section championship team and EGF is going to be deeper?Right now EGF may be more solid in the nets...Warroad has 3 fairly equal goalies, one needs to be heads & shoulders better to win the spot. But I don't see anywhere else Eastside is "deeper". The Warriors return 4 solid D with 1 senior that's been playing solid, steady D since 10th grade in McDonald and 3 juniors with an Elite league player in Pieper and a tough, very speedy Milbridge and a steady Larson. You'll probably see Ravendalen, Shaugabauy and Hebel on the first unit to start with...some pretty good speed and with some improvement in the corner play could be a very good combo. You also have Hahn with some REAL speed, a laser shot and a knack for scoring goals that could plug in that first unit or center the second. A bruiser that skates well in Stoskopf and also a fast improving player in "Crash" Hellquist. I didn't mention everyone; the rest will make up a very solid three line Class A team. The B & G only really lost Marvin and the goalie.
I've been in and out of town a lot lately so I haven't had time to respond.
Good summary on the Warriors.
I am on my way out of town again, but when I get back, I'll do the same for the Elves. Then we'll see.

I think Crookston might be turning some heads this season, I dont know too much about any other team in the section but Crookston has a very talented goltender this year and should have a pretty good starting line with some experience, and some pretty decent kids coming up from bantams. should be a fun season to follow this year.

All I know is that this year is going to be interesting for the #2,3,4 and maybe even 5 spot..which TRF will probably fall in to.
1-Warroad
2-Park Rapids
2-Bemidji
-3EGF
4/5 -TRF
The schedule for each team is quite different..especially for park...and some EGF...but it will still be fun to see who beats who..Park's first game/scrimage? is against Silver Bay this coming Saturday...I havent really looked at anyone elses first games/scrimages..this is my final pre season guess on who will be where...see where i end up!

All I can say is Tim Oshie will have his hands full with all the talent in this section. Bemidji, PR, Crx, TRF and EGF will definitely have their ears pinned back at the end of the season. I expect it to be a season like no other for most of those teams. Lots of youth that have talent and Oshi will have to keep up with the stats because there are some D1 prospects coming out of this section within the end of next season.SiouxRecruit wrote:All I know is that this year is going to be interesting for the #2,3,4 and maybe even 5 spot..which TRF will probably fall in to.

NG35, I am in total agreement, i think this year this section will be tighter than ever before. Expect lots of talent and some great section games as the season gets underway.newsguy35 wrote:All I can say is Tim Oshie will have his hands full with all the talent in this section. I will take back what I said before with the top 5 in this section. I seriously think Warroad is the only guarenteed team in the top 4... Crookston, EGF, LOW, PR, TRF and the others may suprise a few ppl. I seriously hope most "board members" or ppl who post come back to see who does what in this section. Crookston and EGF are serious contenders and if Chupka can control his kids this section will be a 6 team race if not more. Stay tuned for sure.the mullet wrote:NG35, I am in total agreement, i think this year this section will be tighter than ever before. EDIT~
I didnt mention Bemidji for a reason. They should be top 3 for sure. The only team I see competing with them for a top 2 seeding is PR. Bemidji should be ranked with the talent along with the fact they were AA. All I have to say is EXPECT the UNEXPECTED because there are a few teams that nobody knows about that will suprise.

My guess the bottom two will beTooManyEagles wrote:What's the outlook on Hallock this year? I've seen people picking them as a 6 seed, and people picking them to be in the bottom 2.
Bagley then Walker.
Hallock and RLF or LOW will be next depending on injuries.
Then Crookston or Thief River Falls.
Then Park Rapids, then
Bemidji, EGF or Warroad.
Of course, I am wrong more than right.
