They had the highest PS2 rating in the section (Ranked #95)Tigers33 wrote:Litchfield has no reason for being in this State Tournament. Just think how bad Hutchinson and New Ulm must be!
I hope the officials that determined the sections are happy that a team like this is in the State Tournament. It is basically a joke watching this game right now. Just wait til the State decides to have three classes for the State Tourney. That is what they wany so more teams can compete, but its a joke when bad teams are in the tourney.
I wish they would get things right!!
Hutch #97, New Ulm #99.
Tough year for 3a.

Redneck Hockey Fans
While I agree Warroad has dominated Litchfield through two periods and will probably be in the championship game. I don't appreciate redneck hockey fans who say Litch shouldn't be there. Litchfield didn't make the
playoff rules. They played the teams they had to get to state.
The idiot comments like bring on the cheerleaders and crap like that only speak to your intelligence. These kids worked hard and for people to criticize them for being there is ridiculous.
I certainly hope the majority of the fans of the teams like Roseau, Duluth Marshal, and Warroad have way more class than that. In fact I am sure they do.

Duluth Marshall beat a much better Mankato West team today. I wouldn't be so sure that Warroad will be advancing. It will be a great game Friday.cartanor wrote:While I agree Warroad has dominated Litchfield through two periods and will probably be in the championship game. You need to get in touch with your sense of humor!cartanor wrote:While I agree Warroad has dominated Litchfield through two periods and will probably be in the championship game. I don't appreciate redneck hockey fans who say Litch shouldn't be there. Litchfield didn't make the

Do I need to go through all the examples over the last couple years where the team that lost the regular season matchup wins the state matchup?Irishmans Shanty wrote:Jan 25 @Warroad Gardens

You have got to give litchfield credit for doing a heck of a lot better than 95% of everyone's predictions, although the credit must be given to Lucas Johnson the goaltender for the Dragons. He's making big save after big save. He is pretty much the whole team at this point.
I have a feeling Mankato West will take it to Litchfield more than Warroad is doing.
As for Warroad in the championship...after watching the Duluth Marshall vs West game, I am also not so sure this Warroad team will beat Duluth.

cartanor---I was actually ripping the board which selects the sections. Litchfield does deserve to be there because they are in a weak section, but has a hockey fan this was a very bad game to watch. Litchfield rarely had any pressure or significant scoring chances. They did have a decent goalie, but nothing else after that.
When they messed up the sections I think they messed up the quality of the state tournament. The thing I dont like is that the State High School League wants teams to get there that havent had the opportunity. Thats great and all, but make the sections close in competitive level.
Thats all! Not sure many disagree with that.
