Freshmen scoring varsity points
Moderators: Mitch Hawker, east hockey, karl(east)
Early week games, mostly on Tuesday.
Holy Family Catholic defeated Litchfield (again) 10-1 with their frosh and 8th Grade stars lining up the points:
John Peterson (1g, 2a)
Shane Gersich (1g, 3a)
Will Garin (8th Grade) (1g, 1a)
Peterson now has 60 points with one game left. This is the first time in the 4 or 5 years that I have been doing this that a freshman has gotten to 60 points in a season. Probably Gersich will achieve that level also.
White Bear Lake downed Mounds View 7-1 with Jake Wahlin scoring a goal and assisting on 3.
Josh Passolt (2a) and Alec Baer (1a) helped St. Louis Park to a 9-2 win over Robbinsdale Cooper.
Tom Novak scored 1 goal and assisted on 2 as St. Thomas Academy recorded a 7-0 win over Simley.

In the Section 4A final, being played right now, both goals have been scored by freshmen.
Carter Roo scored for Totino-Grace, and Tom Novak tied it for St. Thomas Academy.
For some reason I completely missed out on Carter Roo this season. He finished the season with 7 goals and 9 assists for 16 points, and factored into 13% of his team's goals.
