You're right, life ain't fair, but high school sports are designed to place teams on a reasonably level playing field so that there is some parity. If that parity doesn't occur due to a superior program and development, that's acceptable, but if it is ruined by large enrollment discrepancies, then it's not.

i dont think people should be so hard on STA...LF needs to field a better team...they are not playing like a team that deserves to be there. if the state highschool league would create more parity in section assignments embarrassing games liek this would not happen...be happy fergus falls did not beat LF..the game would be 15-0 right now.

they are an average program...not the type of program that should have been there as often as they have....their section is weak.

Little Falls is a solid class A team obviously they can't have a team that is as good as STA. Your an idiot for saying they have a terrible team. STA should be playing AA and Little Falls is at the perfect level of A where they belong where every few years they have a good team. I could go on and on and on. Your just dumb flat out for some of the comments. I don't know sorry.

The sections might need to be redone. True STA should move up to AA at this point, but it is a shame that for the first round of the A tournament there will not even be a close, fun to watch game. Every year there seems to be three teams in the A bracket that do not even have a prayer of making it past the first round

You cannot lump all privates in with STA. Little falls, while a good team, is not a great team by any means. They mostly have risen and now fallen off a little bit with Festler and the Hanowski's. They do come out of the 2nd weakest section in A as well. I do agree that it's time for STA to move up though.

would you admit LF plays in an extremely weak section? If cathedral and little falls were in the same section i think you would see little falls at the X one out of 10 years. i have read your idiotic kool aid drinking posts on here for the past few years...LF hockey is bad..face it.

Idiotic kool aid drinking posts? I challenge you to find any post I've submitted about this year's Flyer team where I said they were fantastic and a top 8 team in the state. In fact, I went out of my way complimenting your Crusaders as a top A team, and better than this Flyers squad. At times LF played like a top 15 A team this year. They've beaten some solid A teams including a couple that beat your team. In fact, LF should have beaten your Crusaders in their first game despite being outplayed. Yeah, there is no question their section is weak. I've never claimed it was anywhere near difficult. As far as past teams, wasn't it LF that bested your Nate Schmidt led Crusaders for the third spot a few years ago? Don't tell me LF hockey stinks. Its been the best single A public program in central MN over the last decade. In fact its arguably been the best public hockey program, A or AA, in central MN over the last decade. We develop our own talent. We don't draw the best talent base from a large metro area like your precious private school. We don't have an unlimited talent pool to draw from like your school does. In the future we'll have our ups and downs, but we'll always be proud of our kids. And we'll never publicly say another program sucks or call it "bad".
