Chaz and Cruz Lucius commit to Gophers

Kind of off topic, but does anyone know how Gentry academy works? I understand they have a Tier 1 team which they two brothers play on, but will they also be on the high school team or is that meant for less talented kids?

The have a Bantam (14U) and 15 team playing a full season national schedule. Those are different kids than the MSHSL team from what I can tell.

Will be tough to tell until games start or even for a season or two, but based on their mshsl team’s schedule this season it appears the higher end kids are playing a full year on the tier 1 teams, and the rest on jv/varsity?

Interesting tidbit..........The Hockey News has Chaz Lucius at #88 in their Top 100 Hockey's Best Players Under 21. The rankings are based upon top-end potential for all players born in 1997 or later. The list includes several already established NHL players (Connor McDavid, Auston Matthews, Patrik Laine to name a few). I think Lucius was the youngest player on the list.

That is awfully high,but, I saw that 03 team play the high school team from the Alexandria private hockey school in st paul... the 03's scored 12 goals and the Lucius kid was involved in 7 or 8 of them...we were there for another game,but, we couldn't stop watching those kids play....
