I enjoyed GR, Greenway, Fogerty, and heard Thief River is awesome. As for new rinks Stillwater and Champlin Park are really nice (actually they are identical aside from the lobby.)

The STA rink is not what i heard it was. I thought it would be a very nice rink but when i first saw the place i wasnt feeling the vibe. The thing is on the side of the freeway.

They don't play there. They have made it a parking lot for the indoor arena built in 1997. On a clear, crisp night there was no ice that was faster. Along as it wasn't snowing or pine needles from the big norways around it.

I was always a big fan of the old time hockey vibe like up in Cloquet. Something about having to use the hand dryers to thaw your skates and playing in a cold rink seems like true hockey to me. I also am a big fan of the Hibbing rink. Another classic old school vibe in there
