Is there nobody at AAA that can give us a glimer of hope? Or at least one good inning a week? I think we need that more than Piride.

I dunno ER, but I'd like to know who the last STARTING pitcher was that's had more non-decisions than decisions w/ a minimum # of starts because Baker has got to be in rare territory this year...

The Twins are 4-11 since parting terms with Mike Lamb. Lamb wasn't a great player but since then Buscher is hitting just a tick over .200 and the teams fielding has been terrible. The guy they cut Lamb for, Guardado, has an ERA of 13.50 with an opponent BA of .550.

PB says hit the boofin ball and things will be ok, the Twins are 5th in the Majors in BA, 5th in runs scored. They're also tied for the 3rd most errors and 3rd worst fielding % in the AL. Pitching and defense are what the Twins rely on, this is bad baseball right now.

In a run of bad moves this was a terrible one by the GM.

Meanwhile, the Sox fall 3-1 to the streaking Jays in the first of two at US Comiskular.

Keep streaking Jays.

goldy, in half of those 11 losses, they scored 3 runs or less. Had they scored 4, they would be in 1st place.

But the whole team has been bad lately except the starting pitching which has been OK.

We just need something to get rocking! Led should do nicely...

Leaves are falling all around,
Its time I was on my way.
Thanks to you, Im much obliged
For such a pleasant stay.

But now its time for me to go,
The autumn moon lights my way.
For now I smell the rain,
And with it pain,
And its headed my way.
Ah, sometimes I grow so tired,
But I know Ive got one thing I got to do,

Ramble on,
And nows the time, the time is now
To sing my song.
Im goin round the world,
I got to find my girl, on my way.
Ive been this way ten years to the day, ramble on,
Gotta find the queen of all my dreams.

Got no time to for spreadin roots,
The time has come to be gone.
And tho our health we drank a thousand times,
Its time to ramble on.

Ramble on,
And nows the time, the time is now
To sing my song.
Im goin round the world,
I got to find my girl, on my way.
Ive been this way ten years to the day, ramble on,
Gotta find the queen of all my dreams.

I aint tellin no lie.

Mines a tale that cant be told,
My freedom I hold dear;
How years ago in days of old
When magic filled the air,
Twas in the darkest depths of mordor
I met a girl so fair,
But gollum, and the evil one crept up
And slipped away with her.
Her, her....yea.
Aint nothing I can do, no.

Ramble on,
And nows the time, the time is now
To sing my song.
Im goin round the world,
I got to find my girl, on my way.
Ive been this way ten years to the day, ramble on,
Gotta find the queen of all my dreams.

Gonna ramble on, sing my song
Gotta keep-a-searchin for my baby...
Gonna work my way, round the world
I cant stop this feelin in my heart
Gotta keep searchin for my baby
I cant find my bluebird!
Id listen to my bluebird sing but I cant find my blue bird
A-keep-a ramblin baby...

They also just lost 5 of 6 where they scored 5, 4, 0, 4, and 5 runs in those 5 losses while committing 5 errors leading to 5 unearned runs.

Pitching and defense may be boring baseball but it wins games. Hitting may be exciting baseball but as the Rangers can atest, without the other two aspects it's closer to slow pitch softball than the Major League.

This is the best Lamb Watch I've ever seen!

I'd just like announce that I think it sucks that with a game like Slowey is throwing, we can no longer call this game in the bag.

There was a time earlier in the season where the guys in the tower would be putting on their headsets and checking radar for a smooth landing by now.
