Hibbing seems like they're playing really lazy D, Hermantown is beating them to all the loose pucks in Hibbing's zone

The Hawks deserve that one. Should be the 1 seed at state.

Should be fun to see Hermantown try to defend their undefeated mark at state.

Good win by the Hawks tonight. They were the obvious better team on the DECC ice tonight and seem like a team on a mission. Late in the third period they seemed to be beating Hibbing-Chisholm to all of the loose pucks. Drew LeBlanc also look great tonight, I really hope that this isnt' the last time he'll be in a Hermantown uniform at the DECC. Good luck to the Hawks at State! Should be setting up for a great run!

AND THATS THE FACT JACK :!: :D 5-2 Hawks win. Hopefully the hawks proved something here tonight for many people, non-hawk fans in particular, as they have done on countless occastions this season, that they are a quality hockey team worthy of the recognition they are recieving. I throughly enjoyed that game. It was to bad that the hibbing goalie, Marchuk, was a little shaken up early, he definitely stepped it up after that though. Hardy as I said, would control the tempo of this game which I thought him and rest of the hawks defense played solid. I also thought Hardy made some great saves, as did Marchuk. The hawks just established a dominate forcheck early in the game and never let up. The referee's were certainly calling an interesting one, and by that I mean they were not very consistent in their penalty calling, or lack there off, for either team. I know it sounds funny coming from someone who's team won, but it is the truth. The refs made it known early on that they were certainly intending to let these two teams play.

I also found out that the hawks #26 Grant Huttel is injured, evidently he broke his wrist early in the first period, might have even his first shift, so he is done. :( It's to bad, because he went all season and now he is unable to participate at state.

Lastly, I just want to say congrats to Hibbing on an excellent season, they were an excellent team and opponent to play. And to the Hermantown Hawks, the new Section 7A champions for 06-07, with a record of (26-0-2) .=D> I'll see ya at state HAWKS :!:  Should be a fun time :!: \:D/

Hermantown has more talent across the board than Hibbing and it will show in this game. I do not see a close match-up at all and the Hawks will take this game by 3-goals, final score Hermantown-5, Hibbing-2.

More than willing to be wrong on this and will be pulling for either team in the tourney. Come on Northland! Represent in '07!

are you being serious rondo hopper?? hibbing was in the lead all game when they played eachother then they scored with like 4 seconds left to tie it up

Well I guess we found out who was right in this battle

hey bobby! it's nice to see that for once you're not bashing hermantown and saying they're gonna lose! I can't blame you for not bashing them because it seems to me that your predictions on hermantown games have been wrong all year wrong!
What are you talking about? I have probably incorrectly picked a hermantown game two or three times.
ha good one 'ol booby! It seems that everytime I check the posts you have had hermantown losing unless it's been a crappy opponent! too bad for you that they just won and are going to the show!!!!!!!!! WOW you're just like those annoying ship jumping sports announcers! you kick teams when they're down and you hoist them on a petistole when they're winning...maybe now you'll pick a side and stay with it!

I have to be honest, I felt a bit good after that. Way to go Hawks, represent section 7 well. I am sure you will. As for the Hibbing team, you guys looked good and I am sure we will see these two teams back here next season. A lot of good talent is returning to both teams next season.

In my eyes, Hibbing played poorly all game. The 2nd period may have been decent for them, but overall they couldn't do anything right. They got stupid penaltys and the defense was so slow. They still had a great season though.

to me, the defense lost the game for hibbing. Sutehrland, King, and Vechel, usually all leaders, lost this one in my eyes

Agreed, Hibbing's defense played poorly and they left Marchuk out to dry a few goals. King should not have even been on the ice the way he was playing. The penalties he took were horrible. The defense was constantly coasting back, even while Hermantown would be on a break. I heard Drew Vechell was playing with a dislocated/separated shoulder, so this could explain why he wasn't playing his best. Hibbing's #23 had a good game, he was working hard all game. Defense wins games, and that proved true in the game last night. The leaders didn't step it up and it showed.
