My vote (score)

GOVS93 - 2
PPG - 0

Same at Tartan games. Green out numbered by blue. JV players forced to stick around I guess - to make up 90% of the student section.
Be realistic ppg, you may be able to drag in a few fans just for "show" on tv (won't need em for game 2 - not televised),but I guarantee you Johnson would outnumber your lowly wanna be fans throughout (even in the toilet bowl round). Assuming you beat Johnson in SEC by a nail biter, I'll make a count before the puck drops for yet another "appearance" trophy. Hold it high, you deserve it.

Knowing your program is slowing fading away? Knowing games they play are no longer of interest (other than tonight's for your dream)? Knowing you must hang onto the past because the present is so bad & the future looks even worse? Who knows, may the high school league will revert back to the tier system, add several more layers, and your school may be able to compete. Dare to "Dream".
Good one!

Go to a Johnson regular season game, then go to a HM one... tell me who has more in the crowd. No longer of interest?

Last year... HM vs. Moorhead at Aldrich... I was in the stands (on the Moorhead side), and I can tell you that the HM side was no more than 1/3 full - if that - the sections on either end of that side were completely bare, and the ones in between were spaced way out. You could've had your pick of seats on the red line. Against Moorhead who was 22-1 at the time... and nobody for HM shows. I promise you that you'll see more in attendance at the Johnson/Como game tonight than you did at that game. It was pathetic. You can think what you want, but if you think nobody's interested, I suggest you look in the mirror.

Do your homework. Your lack of knowledge is making you look awfully bad... Your club doesn't need any more help with that.
There's the difference my friend. You actually went to a Hill game & I wouldn't be caught dead at a Johnson game!! As for interest, 16,000 people showed up for one of our games last year and how about yours? Oh sure we lost, but we were still playing while the Govies were loading their guns for the next social gathering.

I'm surprised to see that the Govies don't get invited to play in the Schwan's Cup given the state wide interest people have in their program. Also kinda surprised to see that FSN doesn't show them on TV during the course of the season (4:00 pm Sat vs the Spuds  ). But that's ok, they will get alot of media attention with tonight's big conference title on the line...ooppss, that's right, nobody even cares to have them in a conference...too powerful I guess.

Yep, great program ya have going there. So why is "Big Joe" transferring again? The future looks great with what, 10 JV players? Feel free to come a Hill game after your season ends & no need to sit on the other side. Experience walking out of the arena with a winner for a change!
I did "walk out of the arena with a winner" at the HM game last year... because Moorhead blew them out of their own building 6-3!

Once again, you have no argument for your school's pathetic, sorry showing of "support" year after year after year. It's a clear indication that students, staff, alumni, you name it... nobody cares about HM hockey. If you can't get your own student body to game - that's saying something loud and clear. Go on down to Johnson tonight - you'll see people who care. Might be a refreshing change of pace for you. (Enter your lame "I don't want to get shot" joke here).

"If a tree falls in forest does it make a sound?"

Maybe the better question would be "If Hill Murray plays a game at Aldrich, does anybody see it?"

Thor, Congrats on the big win last night. You & Govie spend so much time counting fans that you miss goals scored by your opposition. Like Johnson, your season will end soon & you can hop on the anti-Hill train and follow it downtown St. Paul. We are used to it.

Everyone at Hill hates the kids on their hockey team, that's why there are no students at games. For the most part, the only people at Aldrich for HM games are parents and pioneerprideguy.

You are right Govie, if I went to the Johnson game tonight I would see a "change of pace"...it's called really slow/bad hockey!

I love it that you have no answer for the fact that HM has virtually no fans. Keep pointing the finger and deflecting... it'll come in handy when the Pioneers get bounced again!

PPG your way out of line "enjoying" the demise of the Johnson program. And it says a lot about your character to suggest Govs shouldn't be supportive because the team isn't what it used to be. Obviously if Hill fell on hard times, you would bail out on them. Ankles never want so low...

Apparently Hill has fallen on hard times. The lack of fans support & no interest in our program. We keep losing at the state tournament. It's tough being a Hill fan right now.

You are right Neut, I'm was being way too hard on Govs. It's not right kicking Snoopy when he's down. In fact, I'm, gonna be pulling for the Govies tonight to send their throngs of fans home happy tonight (especially Scotty). Dammit, they deserve it! So come on Govs93, fire those boys up tonight & please keep those updates comming for the many people who will not be fortunate to get a seat.

You were kicking Herb.

You were kicking Make-a-wish kids.

You were kicking kids who play their heart out, even though they know the outcome beforehand.

Govs was kicking you...

The updates will be starting at roughly 7:30... have no fear. You see, at Johnson, we actually care about our team, so I'm going to drive from Wayzata to the Eastside to see them, whereas HM "fans" won't travel a mile down Larpenteur to see one of theirs!

I realize that my live updates are more crucial for HM games because nobody attends them and is able to know what's going on otherwise.

That wont be possible when Hill loses

How can you say you are so proud of basically a Triple AAA, select, recruited team - I would be ashamed and embarrassed if I were you. Duh ,you better have a good team, but you are not a TRUE High School born and bred team. You may as well disappear with the rest of your fair weather students who don't know a thing (or care) about REAL High School hockey or the history of your program.

i could not agree more. ill admit im a white bear fan, and i only naturally hate hill murray. but their fans think they are a true hockey team, even though they really know nothing at all about wut a true hockey team is. white bear, is a true hockey team."home grown talent" a good tradition of good hockey. hill murray kids only have fans when they play white bear because they like to trash talk when they have recruit players do good. hill murray is nothing more than a fake "all-star" team if you will, who should be alot better than they are.
hill murray is a good team, but they shouldnt be.

Dubbfan? Really? Homegrown talent? Are you not thinking about a kid from Mounds View who happens to be one of your best forwards this year? I'm not dissing on you, but you did miss that little fact.

i highly doubt you believe white bear cant beat hill murray. if i remember correct...last time the two teams played white bear was winning by 2 or 3 goals, somehow hill got lucky and came back. its not that we cant beat them, and its not that i hate recruiting, its because hill-murray fans are a bunch of trash talkers, and dont understand the game at all. no one likes hill, accept for obviously hill.everyone goes against them in every game they play. i guess you could call them the patriots of section 4AA(at least their past and stil up until now, im not saying they are the best). but really, come on, your not agreeing with me when I say recruiting your whole team at the highschool level is a little over the top...

Wolter wasn't even recruited, he chose to come to WBL himself because MV sucks and they wouldn't let him play as a frosh there.

Ya gotta love the emotion that comes with talking about the Pioneer Hockey Program! Neut, I think your love of Govie might be clouding your perception, but it's all good. Go Cougars! Govs, drive safely, and be careful on the rockin eastside (not a "shot", actually grew up there...so relax).

Ironic that there's no emotion about Pioneer hockey from the Pioneer students themselves!

I appreciate the well wishes, PPG. Its always a treat to be back in the old neighborhood.

You might be right. But I think the lack of support you've recieved from the many classier Hill fans speaks volumes.

PLEASE DUBBFAN STOP WHILE YOU'RE AHEAD.

You're making the city of White Bear Lake look bad and you don't even know it. GET THIS through your head:

Good players go to good programs, they don't need to be recruited

You've obviously never been through high school hockey before because you think it's recruiting when really it's a transfer, or else the player knew he was going to go to a specific high school going into 9th grade.

Also, I'm a White Bear fan as well, but Hill Murray did not get "lucky". Check the last three years, specifically the game on December 22. You'll find the Bears got beat 5-2, and they've been 0-8 i believe in the past three years against HM. In my book, coming back from a two goal lead when you've already beaten the team 7 times in 2 years isn't "lucky".

As for you calling HM trash talkers and then saying they know nothing about hockey, you're being a bit hypocritical. Even though as WBL players it's their biggest rivalry, they still respect HM because they are a good team. No need for the "H" word.

Speaking of support, do people still talk about Cent hockey? Don't hear/read much. No talk...pro/con. Nice club, but other than you, not alot talk. Not a shot, just an observation.

As for the "classier" HM fans, are you referring to the students on here that post stats....or nobody can beat us...state champs 2008...09...and beyond? I'd rather have the silence. Don't worry, I still have love for those young Pioneers as well.
