Earlier tonight, North St. Paul A Bantams beat White Bear Lake by a score of 4 to 2 (the fourth goal for North St. Paul was an empty net goal).

D6 Bantam A scores:

Apple Valley 4
Prior Lake 1

Burnsville 4
Eastview 1

I was trying to find the score of the Bantam A Kennedy/Minnetonka game from last night - does anyone have an update? Thanks.

The Apple Valley Prior Lake game was 8-0 Apple Valley, not 4-1.
The Peewee A game was 4-1.

Burnsville did not play the hockey they are capable of in the first two periods. In the third period they outplayed and out scored South. If they would have played that good the whole game, the score would have been the other way around.

being that it was only a scrimmage...maybe South let off the gas in the 3rd up 6-1? You can look at it both ways

yes, but throughout the whole game the play was relatively even except South had a few breakaways that resulted in most of their goals.

Hmmmm... Perhaps USA Hockey should adopt a scoring system similar to that of figure skating. Then we wouldn't have these gross miscarriages of justice. Those that are the best and most experienced judges of the game could take those pesky breakaways into account and award them only the 1/2 point they deserve.

after seeing both South and Burnsville play, I think if they play again Burnsville would win, because they how to stop their break away play now, and South scored 4-5 goals off breakaways.... :!: :!: :!: :!:

Shame on Lakeville South for exposing a weakness in Burnsville. Over and Over

Yes, i agree that burnsville would win, because the breakaways were from plays that should easily be stopped

OK, I also watched this game, one breakaway goal in first period was well executed on the fly play out of defensive zone. I'm certain it was the second goal for south and the second for #9. No other breakaway goals for south, #9 had another but was stopped. Truth is B'ville had no answer for souths top line in this one, they accounted for 5 goals. Did anyone notice that B'villes first tally came on the power play with 3rd line forwards killing the penalty? Maybe you consider a well executed 2 on 1 a breakaway because a couple of souths goals came that way. If the two match up again either could win but in this game it was 6-1 with about 5 minutes to go. to recap:
Goal 1...turn over at DEFENSIVE blue line created a two on 1
Goal 2...fly play breakaway.
Gaol 3..missed check at DEFENSIVE blueline creates 2 on 1
Goal 4...power play, forward walked out of corner and scored on backhand.
Goal 5..bad turnover in own end allows forward to walk in alone.
Goal 6...tipped shot from highcenter point sneeks in right side of net.
Thats one breakaway goal.
One game is just that, ONE GAME..no telling what happens next time.

mnhockey9312,

Everytime you respond you sound more and more like you're from New Ulm and nobody gives you any respect. Win, then talk. If you lose 6-3, you LOST 6-3. You gave up breakaways, sounds like you had some breakdowns and Lakeville converted on the chances. You can't go back and say "if we didn't then we would have", doesn't give you any ICE-CRED on the board.

Go to practice, work hard, and you'll be fine, have a great year and next time you lose, just acknowledge that you lost without excuses.

Minnetonka 0
Apple Valley 0

Great game. Minnetonka outplayed AV in the first period, then the second and third period Apple Valley took it to Minnetonka and had a lot of scoring chances. Great game by both teams.
