Who hasn't used the Leg wedge here or there?

If you deny you have never done it, I call you a liar.

BUMP!

Time to get this thread pumping again...

How about some notable NHL moves over the past few weeks.

Carter to Columbus. M. Richards to LA.

Bryzgalov to Philly. Lindstrom stays with Detroit.

B. Richards gets over paid by NYR. Vokoun to Washington.

MN did nothing... as usual. (Sorry you Wild fans  ) Oh wait, they traded their best D (Burns) for Setoguchi. Ok, I guess.

Jagr REJECTS Pitt. and more $$ to play for Philly for less $. (Better chances to win the Cup in Philly, he suspects.)

Those were off the top of my head. Any more notables? ANYONE!?

Hey, life on the cafe! I guess I failed to respond to your last post, so the quietness might be my fault, but still...I'll blame starmvp.

The Wild have traded Havlat for Heatley now, too. At first glance it looks like a pretty good move. Now if only they can play some defense...

Happy 4th!

You're right, star is to blame.

I heard about the Heatley, Havlat trade this morning.

Both of these players have what their new team needs. MN needs scoring and establish playoff contention, and SJ needs speed and reliable players to come through in the postseason. I believe this is a fair trade. I am also eager to see how these players perform next season. (MN's new coach as well)

I hope everyone is having an enjoyable 4th! It has been a beautiful day for a celebration.

Indeed it was. Perfect day for doing little, then frying some brats and watching the fireworks over the harbor.

Back to painting the house today, though...

Normally yes. But enough of it might complicate standing atop a ladder some.

Can they keep the "Fighting Sioux" name with this move?

No, the NCAA is still making UND change the nickname. UND must follow NCAA guidelines in order to participate with other college teams.

Although the governor of ND is supporting the nickname (involving state now); NCAA along with some protestors are still pushing to change the name.

They are merely just switching conferences. This will be the end of the WCHA or CCHA.

The bored's resident Yankees fan is happy today. 3,000 hits for Derek Jeter, and in dramatic fashion, nonetheless.
