Only one more big game of importance before the seeding meeting takes place. I really don't think too many spots from 1-11 are clear cut other than maybe the 1 spot and the 9,10,and 11 spots. I also think maybe the 5 spot is a lock and that would be bemidji. But, i think the seedings will end up like this.

1. Warroad
2. PR
3. Winner of EGF/TRF
4. Winner of EGF/TRF
5. Bemidji
6. Kittson Central
7. LOW
8. Crookston
9. RLF
10. Bagley
11. Walker

Gotta give you a bad time Size of whatever?

So you think that the winner of the EGF/TRF game will get the 4 AND 5 seed?

But, I digress.

The winner of the EGF/TRF game will get the #2 seed.
Then PR.
Then the loser of the EGF/TRF game.
The rest = the same.

I agree with you curve. Except that you may be surprised that Crookston sneaks in either at 6 or 7. Tough to say for sure, but I think your top 5 are spot on!!!

Let's assume you are right. Then It should go like this.

Warroad vs. Crookston = Warroad win
PR vs. LOW = PR should win
Let's say TRF vs Kittson = TRF should win
Let's say EGF vs. Bemidji = Tough one. Let's go with EGF.

Then it would become....
Warroad vs. EGF = Probably Warroad
PR vs. TRF = could go either way. PR beat them 4-0, but TRF will have home advantage. PR can do it again.

Then the finals would be...
Warroad vs. PR =This would be a game that would have epic proportions for this board. Either it would quiet the PR crowd or it would prove that PR has a team. Either way the Ralph should be packed...

What is your take?

elliot what do you mean by "Presentations are ready to go to the legislature. " What do they have to do with it? Can't bemidji build a rink without the legislature approving it? or are you guys expecting that all the rest of the taxpayers of mn need to pay for your rink?
The state has not been in the business of building hockey rinks so bemidji should do like warroad and trf. GO OUT AND RAISE THE FUNDS FROM YOUR OWN COMMUNITY FOR YOUR OWN RINK. YOU CANT TELL ME A CITY YOUR SIZE CAN'T RAISE THE FUNDS NEEDED! YOUR BUSINESS COMMUNITY AND POPULATION IN YOUR SURRONDING AREA IS HUGE COMPARED TO WARROAD AND TRF! GO FOR IT!

I believe the legislature has to approve the extension of a 1/2 cent sales tax that was supposed to expire...

Riverman,
I am assuming you do not know the situation.
This is not a Bemidji hockey rink.
It is an regional event center.
The rink portion is to serve Bemdiji State University. While BSU carries the name Bemidji, obviously BSU serves much more than Bemidji.

As D16Dad stated the sales tax extension needs to be passed. And the legislature , be right back.

As I was saying, a year ago, the legislatrue approved the concept and committed to a certain amount of funds to be in this year (even year) bonding bill.
Now Bemidji committee has to go back to the legislature and governor and beg again.

And if TRF and Warroad would have built their rinks without their benefactors I would say, yes, we should.
Oh, that's right, our community has built three rinks already.

If TRF wins tonight I believe the other section coaches will vote them #2. Impressive victories over MHD, Virginia, Totino-Grace, and 2 victories over EGF. That is more convincing than PR's wins over EGF and TRF. I really have to believe PR's SOS will hurt them and cause them to get the 3 seed. If TRF loses tonight then PR has 2 seed locked up.

Tonight's activity (TRF & PR losses) is only making things muddier.

I need a few minutes to digest this.

I had them drop 2 so far, but i'm not convinced yet that they should go at 5. those are two very bad losses. Seems to me they peaked way to early and really aren't playing their best hockey right now.
