Hey Joe and Slappy, why don't you impress the entire board and tell us what your ACT scores were or does that, too, go "against the grain" of you two sharks that patrol these waters. So why should we give in to a few 'speed readers' who year in and year out complain over the fun that 2 or 3 or more posters can have while keeping a great thread alive to bide the time between games until the rest are ready to join in.? Just because 2 or more posters are keepin' things alive in any given thread, at any given time doesn't mean that the participation in the way of readers has diminished one iota. That's one of the reasons that it was unfortunate to delete the 'views' column from the board so folks could see how many readers had checked in to any given topic on any given day. I'll leave the ACT scores etc. up to those that 'feel the need' as there are not enough pages on this board to contain the things I've seen or done. You don't have to 'stutter' though, as you did in your 'subject box' ( above ) just because you might be "a little queer". It isnt my ACT score that is the issue. Its the scores of the games played betwen the two "classes", as old Blackbeard and I have emphasized. If you saw the picture of slappy that VS posted, you would know he doesnt have a black beard. Geez. Anyway, if I could remember my ACT score I would gladly tell you. Hope you find a someone to play with.

I'll tell you what goes ' Against the Grain ' around here and it ain't that A and AA nonsense that you all kick around 'cause I've seen you talk about that everywhere you look! It ain't the fact that y'all beat around the bush and can't pick a winner or two except for the few that can. It ain't the fact that some of you ain't got nothin' to talk about except parrots and stats while tryin' to dump your words in other peoples mouths. You're all used to that! It's the fact that the top two teams in the State of Minnesota are from section 8 and most of you haven't had a chance to see these teams because, unlike the hardy northern travelers, you folks way down yonder are too far away to catch the finest teams in the state, and because of that, you 'squabble' while 'straining at gnats' for lack of knowledge and wisdom thereby swallowing 'camels' in doing so. Well, I guess you have to read the fine print around here just a little closer. Certain posters just drop little things like "...Joe's high school team is out of it" and then expect to cover it up with a long rant a couple of posts later. Martha Stewart would be proud....... and probably have some tips for thawing out those pipes, Mr Slapshooter. Anyway, the only thing the Packers are out of is competition for the A crown. Hungry for some good teams to play, the Packer brain trust decided to move up to the A level this year. Hubbaa and I have applauded this decision, which I am sure was made after much delibration at The Croation Hall, downstairs. The Pack is back and as I have called it from the beginning, it will be them and Centennial doin the wearin of the gold right around St Pattys Day in the Saintly City. This changes everything.......for a while until things change again, maybe.

So, the ratings come out and establish 2 teams from the great nothwest as the undisputed best. They become the evil invaders from crazy section 8 and the overwhelming favorites to win. Well Joe, The packers will definintely need divine help. Even then, I'd say they are pretty much out of it. Now I see why this thread keeps getting pulled back to the top: Slappy wants to show off his lyrical skills in hope that a big time producer might be patrolling these waters and will notice him, and sign him to a lucrative record deal, hoping that one day he can perform in a half-time show where he can sing along side Justin Timberlake and inadvertently have his one of his man-boobs exposed to the world! Its all so clear now..... Entertaining posts guys, but why keep pulling this back to the top, its has gotten pretty off-topic and the last 5 days or so worth of posts are just bickering and singing. Nothing to do with the game itself.

But hey, Im lookin for an interesting and fun thread like oh..lets seeeee.. oh, I know...how about: " Best junior defensemen who used to be forwards when they were sophomores who are going to NTDP or juniors next year from class A section 1A who can score who transfered from a private school" This board should be about hockey but launching a career in show business is important too. Joe, I like your topic idea. I'm sure if you start it, it will be up to at least 3 posts within a week. I think I have a better one though. How about... "Now that Wadena took it on the chin for their first loss of the season, can Prairie Center (this town seriously has a hockey team?) be the second team to knock them off their throne, and why did the coach let them watch "Miracle" instead of practicing, and did this cause them to lose, and what about their deliquent goaltender, and how do they compare to the Merickel-Stearns-Schumaker year, and why are we even talking about Wadena because they have never gone to state, won't go this year, and even if if Kurt Russel grants them one wish and they make it to state, they will be blown out of the water, and don't have much for young talent so after this year we won't be talking about them anyway..." Gotta love them WDC kiddo's. They have heart, if nothing else.

It's not our fault that we have to wait nearly a week or so for the next Warrior game or Spuds spectacle so we take the time in between to add the necessary material for the movie get it? 'We are the Grain' by JL and SS 4. 'Song Sing a song' by rams1981 and JL 5. 'Yewz guyz' soon to be finished by BB 6. ' Broken Record ' ( an ode to BIAFP ) by SS 7. 'Train Wreck ' by B 0 Zero 8. 'another sorry day for class A' (influenced by petey) in the process of being written by SS. 9. 'Im Wrong ' ( if goldy says I am ) by SS Just to name a few. slappy is not just sellin us some trombones. Even though 76 of them will lead the big parade when those songs hit the music stores. It would take months and thousands of dollars to buy all of those songs, and even then you would be paying for songs you dont want. Slappy has assembled all of your favorite hits on just one CD for only $17.99. But the music man has started hummin his old tune about the ratings. What do they tell us even if you can argue that they are off a little. I used to whistle at those who would say "We need to have one true champion" thinking there is one , whoever wins class AA. But as my old friend John Lennon would say "And now those days are gone Im not so self assured.... and now I find Ive changed my mind , Ive opened up the door." The system needs Help.

Slappy, where is the post on his movie idea? If I'm in there, he better get my express written consent before making this "Sure to be a Smash" movie. A movie about the dominance of Section 8? Awesome. At least it would go over big in the F/M area, and way up Nort' in Warrior country. The Superior Catholic High School Hockey Player might have something to say about that topic though, wouldn't they? Maybe somewhere hidden deep within the movie, they could mention when my beloved Funguz Fallz Otterz beat the mighty Spuds back in '99, and that was the turning point for the Moorhead program, in which they promised to bring home a State Championship within 5 years. Looks like that time is about to expire, so let's hope they get it done this year. I know I'll be there rooting for them to do it.
